This is another great option i. Lancaster. We dined here tonight and had a very good experience overall. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant.
We were seated in the bar area. It has a pleasant warm atmosphere. Our server, Bridgette provided excellent service. We started with fried calamari, which was scrumptous. It had a lightly breaded crispy crust and tender meat. It was very good. We also ordered the garlic cheesy bread. It was nicely prepared and filled with a combination of creamy cheeses. This was very rich and delicious. We also had the goat cheese and beet salad. It came with assorted greens topped with a generous portion of goat cheese, small roasted beets and marcona almond for a crunch. We ordered 3 entres: grilled Walleye with a cheesey risotto and brocolini, everything was delicious. Pasta carbonara with chicken. The sauce was very nice and well seasoned. The chicken was tender and juicy. Quite yummy. I ordered the fruiti del mar with fettucine arabiatta sauce topped with crab meat, scallops and shrimp. It was very tastey and I enjoyed every bite. The portions were very generous and large. We ended the meal with a large serving of tiramisu which was excellent. Overall we had a very nice dinner and experience. We look forward to coming back for delicious wood fired pizza.

We visited Alfonso for the first time on Friday, November 14, and it was so exceptional that we returned the very next day on Saturday the 15th. We kicked things off with a glass of Sangiovese, which was excellent, and paired it perfectly with their crispy calamari—tender, flavorful, and not the least bit chewy. The small Italian house salad and the beet & goat cheese salad with citrus dressing were both spot-on in taste and portion size, while the garlic bread stood out with its distinctive cheese blend and deliciousness.
The entrees were generously portioned, leaving us with plenty of leftovers. On night one, the rigatoni Bolognese and chicken Parmigiana were absolute standouts—phenomenal flavors we’d order repeatedly and highly recommend to anyone. The homemade pasta and sauces were truly outstanding. The following evening, we enjoyed the fettuccine carbonara Alfonso and linguine Alfredo with grilled chicken, once again impressed by the rich sauces and fresh pasta.
We capped off the meal with a shareable cheesecake topped with berries—expertly made and the ideal sweet finish.
This has quickly become our go-to spot when staying at our cabins in the Lancaster area. We’ll be spreading the word to our guests and returning soon!

We had a lovely experience here and actually met Alfonso as he verified our to go order (we are in too) was perfect.
The food, even the salad, had perfect presentation, aroma and oh my! The flavors were extraordinary.
We have started buying a pan of their lasagna and a dessert for our Christmas at home. It’s exceptional.
The restaurant is very clean (including restrooms) and it was tastefully decorated for winter holidays.

If you are in or near Lancaster, OH looking for some authentic, made from scratch Italian cuisine in a beautiful event center this is a must stop. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming able to seat 2 to 200. The event center is on a beautiful golf course so the views from all directions are breath taking with seating outside as well. There is something here for everyone and the owner to staff take pride in the presentation on their dishes. The owners uses his very own organic tomato sauce in his recipes.

EXCELLENT!!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a special dinning experience. The calamari, probably the best I’ve ever had. The bread plate, amazing. I looked to see if Alfonso offered a cookbook for his breads, wow! The sauces, holy smokes. My husband had the pork & fresh veggies, which he finished. I had the seafood pasta, excellent.

This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Lancaster. The food is always phenomenal, fresh, hot and served with a smile. The waitstaff are so friendly and accommodating. We have tried almost everything and never had anything remotely bad. The shrimp appetizer is absolutely delicious! Don’t miss out on this experience.

I wish i could rate the food as we were excited to try this place as we have heard much from friends. We had a reservation on New Year’s Eve at 6:45. When we arrived, at 6:30, the lobby was jammed up with 20 or more people. I stood at the welcome desk for 2-3 minutes and asked a man standing there if he was in line. He said he was waiting and had a 6:00 reservation, several others chimed in saing they had 6:15 and 6:30 reservations. Looking around, several tables were mot even served yet. While
I was waiting, several of the wait staff walked right past us and never scknowledged us when we asked about the hostess, after 15 minutes we left and not a single person of the crouded lobby had been seated including the couple with the 6:00 reservation. We found another nice reataurant in Lancaster and were seated by 19:10. Menu looked
great and they had New Years eve special menu, but I likely wont return based on the service alone.
