Happened to stumble upon Fond and what a treasure. From the service, friendly staff (beyond friendly), the atmosphere, etc., this made for an excellent evening. Now the food – everything we ordered was OUTSTANDING. I would be a regular if I lived in Texas. The frites, carrots and Brussel Crowe pizza (Detroit style)…All made with care and a lot of love. We even bought 3 bottles of their wine (all uniquely sourced, each with a story).
By the time we left – we were referred to by our first names.
Wow!!!

I can’t believe this place is in the middle of downtown! What a gem! I went for a Spanish wine tasting and petite pairing. It exceeded my expectations. I had a traditional croquette that was delicious, a goat cheese and carrot appetizer, and a quiche. I will definitely return!

We have dined at Fond for several times & never dissapointed. Foods are delicious with thoughtful menu celebrating in-season ingredients. Also, unique wine selections by the bottle and the price will not break your wallet. The chef owner, Jennie, she knows her wine offerings very well & very happy to give you more information about the flavor profile on the wine lists.
The best of all is the chef owners & staffs are very welcoming and the service is very attentive. They really value what excellent customer service is about. Highly recommended.

Fond Pizza is a must in Dallas!
I’m still dreaming about the pizza. The flavors were unreal. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city. I highly recommend getting the Pepp In Your Step and Brussel Crowe half and half. The balance of spice, crunch, and creativity was out of this world. You can tell they put love and craft into every bite. Let’s not forget the amazing experience with the bartender and management. 10/10, can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately I was late with my flight and I couldn’t enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere of the Fond, but I wanted a bottle of natural wine to go with my pizza to go, so I didn’t order online and went in. Beautiful ambience, the pictures online don’t give it justice.
The staff and owners super nice and helpful in picking the right bottle.
The result is in the attached picture ❤️

What started out as a search for crunchy tacos turned into an amazing culinary discovery. Fond is located in downtown near Thanksgiving Square (the chapel is 100% worth checking out). From the moment I walked in, the design of the interior and the friendly team gave me a good feeling. The space is colorful and visually interesting. It feels elevated but not in the typical over-stylized way of many DFW restaurants. The servers brought a genuine warmth that was refreshing to experience. The food was creative visually and tastewise. The olives are the best ones I’ve ever eaten. The short rib frito pie was delicious (and more than satisfied my crunchy tacos craving). The housemade cheeseburger and fries were off the chart tasty. We tried the pizza and just like everything else, it was delicious. Even the mango and coconut ice cream for dessert was simple but delivered a very satisfying finish to an amazing lunch. Fond is fabulous and you need to add it to your rotation!

Nice fresh bistro in downtown. Great pizzas with a deep dish crispy sourdough crust. Several imaginative combinations that have layers of flavor. The sausage with vodka sauce was my favorite and the pepperoni was spicy and delicious. Excellent Cesar salad. Be sure to ask for anchovies on it. The evening special was a spicy Italian sausage served with cannellini beans. We ordered it as an appetizer and split it. This restaurant is great for a family style meal. The “natural” wine was a bit disappointing. Overall good experience and great service.

I had a quick lunch at Fond and really enjoyed the experience. Service was very professional and helpful and did just the right amount of checking in with us. The spot is airy and open and has a nice comfortable, cool design. Parking, which they reminded me to validate, is very easy in the underground lot- just punch the option for a ticket and Fond will validate it for you. No need to be worried about going downtown with parking handled for you. I had the meatball sub- it was difficult to choose among the sandwich and salad options but I really liked the soft fresh and warmed roll. The meatballs were light and delicious and it was a tasty sandwich. I subbed a cup of the lemon orzo soup instead of the chips and the soup had some delicious flavored oils on top and was good on a cold day. Only thing- I could eat a bit more so be prepared to get something else to help fill yourself up if you have a big appetite. Pricing is a bit on the high end but for the quality and nice service it’s to be expected. I can’t wait to return to try the pizza next time and some of the other interesting dishes. It’s great to see chef Jenny back on the Dallas food scene.

Very cute restaurant with a fun, chill vibe. Reminds me of Ann Arbor hippy vibes. Loved it!
I got the special, blackened salmon Caesar salad. Soooo good. The dressing was absolutely incredible. So much flavor in it. You can tell it’s homemade. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious. Great spot!
My server was very nice too!
I went for lunch and it was $20 for the salad, which seemed like a steep price for that. Other than that, great experience.

Amazing on every level. We had the bread, squash, chicken and a pizza. I’d have all of those things again and again and again. Chicken was next level which was a bit of a surprise as we only ordered it because someone in our party didn’t eat other types of meat. Turned out well because it was awesome. Service was great too and don’t forget the soft serve!
