12 different kinds of homemade hard ice cream, sundae toppings including homemade strawberry rhubarb, and strawberry shortcake available with soft serve, hard serve, or just whipped cream. You can’t beat it! I got this magnificent shortcake made with strawberry rhubarb sauce instead of just strawberries and soft serve ice cream for less than $6 with tax! I took home a quart of their magnificent peanut butter ice cream. It’s so dense and creamy that it lasts longer in the bowl then store-bought ice cream. Their lobster rolls are packed with tender claw meat, are incredibly lightly dressed, and are about $5 less than others in the area

Visited here with my family for a quick ice cream treat. There was a young lady working the entire store herself. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The ice cream was so good! Creamy and fresh. Both soft and hard serve were of wonderful quality. Will definitely go out of my way to go here again.

One of my favorite ice cream shops. I stopped by for a cone on my way home. My husband first took me here 44 years ago on our honeymoon. I am glad they are still here. I love their soft serve ice cream.

Homemade hard serve ice cream! The base is very rich and delicious. The flavors are very mild, so I think it’s best to go with vanilla and toppings. Sometimes the ice cream has ice chunks in it, but it’s still super good!

What a gem! Much fascinating history of this establishment. Stopped for lunch today and was very surprised at the menu. Many selections and the prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely be returning and will be a customer of them for as long as possible. Be sure to note their hours as they have seasonal hours and I do not want you to be disappointed.

3 out of 5 of our ice creams were not correctly made. Gave us the wrong flavors, and the dipped cone I got was just white wax no flavoring or color.
Unfortunately the worker disappeared before we could request having nearly our entire order remade. Really weird experience.

I love to visit ice cream and hamburger stands in Maine. The best are near Lewiston (Taber’s). This one is not a standout. Perhaps a bad day. Coffee milkshake lacked any hint of coffee flavor, no coffee ice cream, too sweet. The “deluxe Frederick’s dar-i-whip signature cheeseburger” was tough, overcooked, extra dry. Is this locally raised beef? If so it deserves better cooking. Basic walmart bun, not toasted, not yeasty soft and not delicious. The slab of tomato was red cardboard. Overall mediocre. Points off for styrofoam burger boxes. Not very friendly to the environment.
Overall, wouldn’t googo of my way.
