If you are looking for some of the BEST authentic, home cooked, comfort food, you have found the place!
It’s definitely worth going out of the way if you find yourself in the general area.
The service is warm and inviting and they welcome you in, just like you are family.
Be sure to come “hangry” because you’ll get more than two servings worth, with each plate.
The tea is sweet, the service is top notch and the food brings back memories of a bygone era.
Be sure to stop in…You’ll be glad you did!

Disappointed in this place. I have came here since it was opened. The food is starting to go down hill but what concerns the most is the racial negativity here. She very very obviously caters to people of the same race and bluntly shows the disregard to the others. It was very disheartening to come here for so long and then we wait in line for 30 minutes past the advertised time to place our order and we are met with rudeness. She was giving away free food (chicken, fried green tomatoes, etc) to other people in front of us but because we didn’t get a tea she popped off with an attitude over the “free pie” when the menu says it comes with the food plate. The drinks are extra and not included in that. Never been nothing but nice to her and get treated like this for no reason what so ever.The meat loaf is my favorite but this time it was chunky and full of filler. We won’t be back ever again.

While visiting here from Dallas, TX this restaurant was recommended by family that lives in the area. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with the warmest reception. The owner and staff took great care of us while we dined. The food was very delicious and well prepared. The staff was very attentive and courteous. The entire dining experience was what I was looking for while here. So if you are ever in town this place it certainly worth a try!

I’m not from the area and stopped by with my family. The young lady making the plates was so very friendly and easy to talk with. While we were waiting in line to order another lady came up and asked for our drink orders and had them ready for us before we even ordered our food. Being from a large city I’m not used to the type of amazing service that I received that day. Not to mention that the food was GREAT. It felt like I was eating my Momma’s cooking. I would definitely recommend that everyone try this place. You won’t regret it.
