One positive aspect is that the restaurant was not crowded, so there was no waiting time. However, even though the presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the drinks were well prepared, the food itself did not live up to expectations. The Wagyu was chewy and overly fatty, the lobster was dry, and the dessert was quite simple and dry. The pasta, however, was very good and ended up being the highlight of the meal.

Overall, while the restaurant looks beautiful and the cocktails are great, the flavors were disappointing. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the food. I hope they can turn things around. The service, however, was excellent — our waiter was very attentive and engaging, which made the experience better despite the disappointing food.

Went here recently for a birthday, arriving about an hour before closing (and 30 minutes before the kitchen closed), not intending to stay past closing. The restaurant itself was oddly as cold as outside (it was ~7°F), and appeared to be heated only by a few space heaters scattered around the room. There was no host; one of the two waitresses eventually seated us after about five minutes of us waiting at the door, seemingly unnoticed because they were standing by a space heater texting on their phone.

Service went downhill from there. Our waitress was rushed and dismissive, pushing us to order immediately. Despite being the only table actively being served, it still took about 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Alcohol orders were shouted across the room to the bartender.

Another table was still eating, yet about 30 minutes before closing, the same waitress ran to their table in a rush repeatedly, interrupting them roughly every two minutes, asking if they wanted boxes, clearly pressuring them to leave without directly saying so. Having worked in restaurants myself, this is not appropriate behavior that far from closing.

For us, three courses were dropped at once, and before we had even finished our appetizers, the waitress returned and removed plates without asking, food still on them that we intended to eat. Taking the hint, we asked for everything boxed up, dessert not even having arrived yet. When it did, dessert was crammed carelessly into a small takeout container and we were ushered out.

The meal totaled around $100 for the four-course deal, but portions have noticeably shrunk since our last visit. Most of the positive reviews seem to be from a year or more ago, or focus only on the bar, which unfortunately reflects our experience. Overall, disappointing service and atmosphere, especially for a special occasion.

I am wondering if this place is in the process of going out of business? The food was good but there is a big area filled with stacked unused furniture. It smelled strongly of cleaning products. Some stuff was strewn around on the floor (see pics). But it seems like they have enough labor on hand that they could clean things up? On a Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. it was nearly empty. The staff didn’t have a lot to do, except the bartender who had a lot of cocktail orders. Service was friendly but slow. The food took 35 minutes to arrive after the order was placed, which seems worrying when the restaurant is almost empty. The sushi was good, however, but overpriced. Sushi rolls are meant to be cut bite sized but these were oversized for some reason. Overall a strange experience.

Unsure if the heater was out for the place or what, but it was FRIGID. Despite wearing sweaters, the majority of the party wore our winter jackets during the meal… Food and drinks were great, but it was overall pretty ridiculous for a pricey meal with the super cold atmosphere. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place during the winter months unless the heating situation is fixed.

Just left Azalea’s and we had a wonderful meal. The food was amazing. Crisp, perfectly cooked octopus, fresh, well seasoned edamame, and a wonderful eel sushi roll. Really delicious. Go check it out! Worth the visit.

Their food was delicious and service was great! Our waiter was so kind and food was brought out quickly. Definitely recommend getting their Korean fried chicken, wagyu dumpling, Las Vegas roll, salmon on the beach roll, and the nigiri torched salmon belly. Also got their cloud dessert and was so light and tasty! 5/5, highly recommend for a date night 🙂

I hate to come on here and confirm reviews about the service but they’re true. Was it atrocious? No. I don’t want to dunk on our server because it’s almost always a management/ ownership problem but we got there and the place was 75% empty, were seated, and then our server didn’t come for maybe 10 minutes at which point we asked if we could order and he kinda pretended like “Okay I can take your order sure” as if he wasn’t our server (he was). The table next to us had to ask too. I was a server so I totally get it but generally he never asked how our food was and wouldn’t really say a word when he came to our table so we had to take initiative in asking for dessert, the bill (we got the wrong one as well), etc. Honestly seemed like a lack of training which I can’t blame him for but staff are very important to an establishment so they need to do better. He was very nice!
The pasta that I had that was listed as a main was also good but definitely not worth $23 since I wasn’t full at all even though I’m 5’1 100lbs and get full very easily. Portions small but kinda expected at a more upscale place. Good ambiance and decent food though! Food came out extremely fast.

I don’t usually rate bad experiences but this one was kind of wild. Went during restaurant week, got there about an hour or so before they closed(or the kitchen). Waited a few minutes to be greeted at the host stand only to be told that they were booked fully with reservations, there were 2 of us and we were a walk in. The place was nearly half empty and they said they were booked with reservations with less than an hour to go. We asked if we could sit at the bar as there was no one there and, I cant remember what was said but, we were essentially told “no”. We’ve eaten here before and enjoyed the food and really wanted to try their features but after this, I’m not sure it would be worth it in the future.

For management/ownership if you read this, the time was approximately 8pm on Thursday in the middle of a snow storm.

We went to Azalea for restaurant week, and our experience was disappointing. The food was good, but service was very poor. We waited 20 minutes to be greeted by our server. Our welcome drinks and edamame came after our first course was brought. Food was brought out of order to our table and from what we could see, others were experiencing the same. We had to tell our waiter that our bill was wrong 3 times.

Lastly, there was a large party that left due to the same aforementioned service issues, and some of their food was left uneaten. We watched an employee take the two uneaten dishes off the table and bring them back to the kitchen. The rest of the table was not cleared until much later by another employee. I hope those dishes were not being re-served to another table.

TLDR: overpriced, not worth it and gave me a stomach ache. Never written a negative review before.

We got two apps, a main, a roll, and two cocktails. We did not finish any of the dishes because they were almost inedible. Better go to Pacific Rim or Totoro for the prices or sushi. The food was pretty fast

Cauliflower – undercooked and sauce was meh

Tofu – weird texture and super sweet

Short ribs – tough and overly sweet

Sweet potato roll – the sushi rice was congealed and super super sticky

Cocktails – bitter and odd
