The food was ok for me. I’ve never had Indian cuisine so I cant really say how it should be. There was 8 of us and we ordered different dishes which included chicken , shrimp and lamb along with 3 appetizers. One of the appetizers that stood out was this vegetarian dish that I actually like more than the samosa and the chicken appetizers. As for the main dishes they all have similar taste with different proteins only.

I can’t say enough about how wonderfully we were treated by Baljinder and the entire family at Shagun. From the very first day of booking until the very end of our event, everything was absolutely seamless. Communication was clear and prompt, the customer service was outstanding, and the food was simply amazing!
What truly stood out was how they made us feel like family—not just customers. They went above and beyond to accommodate every detail. We had our DJ (DJ Amit, who was incredible), security, bartender, food, décor, and so much more all taken care of. It really is a one-stop shop!
If you want your party or family function to be smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable, I highly recommend booking Shagun without hesitation. A big thank you to Baljinder and family for making our event so special!. Navjit (Mike) Bhatia

Decent food. No complains. The restaurant is located in a plaza with decent parking. The food was brought fairly quickly. We ordered tandoori chicken, garlic and plain naan, lamb biryani, lamb tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, and mango lassi. The food was good, but the lassi was really good. Will try again if I am in the area.

This was the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had in my life!! The place was empty when I went which had me confused?? The food and service is an 11/10. I ordered spicy chicken masala, garlic naan, samosa chaat. It was soooo flavorful and I felt very fulfilled just from a few bites. My only complaint was the prices sadly (no combo plates) but honestly I will definitely go again and again!

The buffet is a good price, especially for all you can eat, and the food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer questions or if they don’t know they’ll go find out for you.
I love that they label the buffet and include which items are gluten free and vegan. My family has different dietary restrictions so it is nice to know what options they can eat.
This is a new regular go-to place for us!

Can’t comment on the buffet but I’ve tried several of the vegetarian (my personal preference) dishes and I have not been disappointed a single time. Prices are good, portions are good, flavor is amazing, and it’s been extremely consistent. My favorite Indian restaurant in the area, can’t recommend it enough.

The Gravy, The Naan, The spinach and cottage Cheese and the taste BOMB. This is so far the best authentic Indian taste in Sacramento, being from an Indian Background I can tell lol on top they treat you with so much respect and it says a lot about the place and the owners. Will come back soon. Thank You so much for the amazing experience.

This is by far the best Indian cuisine experience I’ve had in a long time! Our servers (Baljinder and Deep) were very professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience an unforgettable one. They also have a beautiful Banquet next door that apparently fits 400+ ppl! If you haven’t tried Shagun then you’re honestly missing out a lot.
