The guy seemed a bit stressed out (wait until real life, kid), but other than that, this was almost like old times. Also, in that time, the entire menu apparently reverted back to old sandwich names, which made life SO MUCH easier.
Also, the prices shot up even more.
So, I will ONLY eat at Subway if I can get a normal price using online promo codes or something. $13 for cheap “Italian” meat and bread (this isn’t expensive stuff) is hilarious to me; not gonna happen. I could only get the price down to $9 after tax thanks to some app “special”, but whatevs for now.
Regardless, the sandwich was so good and I’d missed the flavors. Had to leave a small note of thanks.
On top of that, prices have shot up drastically here, especially when you compare this location to the Subway down the road. You’re paying more for food that’s worse – microwaved sandwiches at that. It just feels like they’re trying to take advantage of customers while giving them less in return.
The real issue, though, is the management. I don’t know what happened, but this place is falling apart, and it’s clear that leadership is failing. It’s clear that the problems at this location aren’t about the employees or the current manager, Mat, who’s doing his best given the circumstances. The real issue lies higher up. If the higher-ups cared about the quality of their stores, they’d be fixing the toaster, addressing the price hikes, and making sure the store was properly managed. Instead, it feels like they’re just sitting back while everything falls apart.
The store used to be much better under the previous manager, Connor, but now there’s just a sense of chaos. I’m not sure what direction they’re going in, but it’s definitely not the right one.
I walked in last week, and there was an older couple in front of me who were yelling because their sandwiches weren’t toasted. I could hear them complaining about the prices and how everything was cold. It’s awkward watching employees take the heat for problems that clearly aren’t their fault. The workers were trying to stay calm, but it’s tough when the basics aren’t even being handled properly.
If you’re looking for a decent Subway experience, this is not the place to go. Bad sandwiches, high prices, and poor management
I used to come here regularly, but with the prices going up and the lack of basic maintenance, I can’t recommend this location anymore. If the upper management doesn’t step in soon, I don’t see how this store will last much longer.
I spoke to him a lot while we waited for him to finish 4 foot longs for a moblie order and he expressed that the person before him insisted on leaving at 7pm which caused us to wait a crazy amount of time for a plain turkey sub and meatball sub.
As someone who had been a general manager of a sub shop for years, this is disgusting management issues. The lettuce was pure butt ends that are supposed to be cut off, the store is riddled with ants. This kind young man had absolutely no help, he expressed the last employee didn’t help him at all before he left which is gross mismanagement from whoever “owns” this store.
This is in no way Joe’s fault, he is working under a lazy and inconsiderate manager that clearly doesn’t know how to help his employees let alone run a store. I feel very bad for the current employees here and I hope that their situation gets better.
