Great food and great service. Only the bread was fired badly and plate was untidy, otherwise this place is the best. Gajarka Halwa had a lot of sugar. Any way best of luck! Best place to eat! Enjoy!

My fiancé and I dropped by for dinner the other night. We both got the tikka masala and garlic naan we a Taj Mahal beer and it was all delicious! We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well. Cant wait to go again!

Amazing service, food tastes good as well. Well maintained ambience, the food choice is vast, good for vegetarians and non vegetarians.
I have tried samosa chat and liked the taste, felt fine dine experience.

Food was great! Didn’t expect such great quality of Indian food in Knoxville. They seem to prepare food fresh and that’s probably why the wait times are a bit high. But the taste is definitely worth it. The ambiance is also subtly Indian, not too flashy, just nice.

My boyfriend and I decided to have lunch here because I had been craving Indian food for weeks, i will start by saying the service was good, they were kind, we were seated promptly and we got our refills fairly quick without asking. we chose aroma because they had good prices and they were close to where we were. We got the lunch buffet and i ordered butter chicken because it was my boyfriend’s first time trying indian food. There was bones and tons of cartilage in the butter chicken, and it was super oily and it was more tomato based than cream or cashew based. My boyfriend only ate the chicken majestic. I ended up getting food poisoning from something while my boyfriend didn’t (so i’m thinking maybe the butter chicken) I know it was from the restaurant as that’s all I ate that day, and all of my symptoms aligned exactly with food poisoning and the timing of when i ate the food. While i hate to leave a bad review i was reading old ones and noticed similar experiences, while the buffet was good, im disappointed in the fact that i ended up really ill after eating here.

Decided to try the buffet here after reading all the Indian restaurant reviews. Food was not impressive and had very limited options. The gobi curry (forgot the exact name) was spoiled with a mild smell. The atmosphere was decent, but the sofas need replacing—torn, taped, and uncomfortable. Service was good and attentive. Buffet was $12.99 not many options, and no biryani, which was surprising. Liked the tandoori chicken and salad. The rice kheer and carrot sweet were okay. Overall, good for a one-time visit.

I LOVE Aroma! They are the only Indian restaurant in the Knoxville area that offers samosa chaat. The dish was the perfect balance of flaky and soft. My husband ordered the kebabs and despite being born in the Indian subcontinent (and accustomed to spicy food) he was surprised at the heat (in a good way!). I highly recommend Aroma for authentic and fresh Indian cuisine served in a clean and welcoming environment. I’d also like to thank the staff for their gracious and sincere service. We will return! ❤️

Firstly, their customer friendliness is one of a kind. The ambiance was also great. Their foods were well decorated and served too. The only thing that I felt sub-par was the food.
There was a complimentary typical indian appetizer (pappar chips and dip) which was like every other Indian place. I ordered cheese korma (cheese pieces with yogurt gravy), mutton kebab and hakka noodle. The korma flavour was plainly disappointing. Mutton kebabs were pretty dry. Also, they could offer an alternative (paratha or rice) in side selection with the mutton kebabs. We had to order paratha separately and that made us go beyond our budget for one person. The hakka noodle was super spicy. I chose medium hot, so I got pretty confused. The mango lassi was pretty good which pacified the heat a little.
The bill was around $20-25/person. Yet, the quality of food was pretty disappointing. I would like to suggest that they have a better chef as I loved their service.
To me, only for the food, it was a three star experience.

Top tier buffet and it doesn’t cater to mild taste limits definitively is the place to go and the spicy levels are perfect.

We went for lunch 30 minutes past the restaurant opening. As we entered, there is a taped piece of paper telling you to take a right and go down a small hallway to be seated. I would think it would be easier to put a small hostess stand at the front and seat people as they come in, but no big deal.
The lunch buffet seems to be popular but we ordered off the regular menu. The restaurant appeared relatively clean and we were waited on within a 5 minute time span.
All the food tasted fresh and was very flavorful. The best part of the meal was the grilled plate with chicken and lamb and the samosas. We left full and believe that the food was priced fairly.
My criticism and reason for 3 stars is that the atmosphere felt cold and like we were not welcome. When i would say thank you or ask for something there would be no acknowledgment that I spoke, they would just walk away.
It seemed that some of the employees were distracted by their phones and watching TV shows on them as noted in the picture. I feel that with the addition of a friendly wait staff that the overall experience would improve greatly.
And, the pictures of the bathroom are to show that more attention to cleaning needs to be had at this establishment. The bottom of the toilet was not clean, there were toilet brushes on the floor and toilet bowl cleaner under the sink which I believe is against health and safety standards.
