Super cute little niche ice cream shop in the District. Custard was fresh and tasty with some very over the top topping options. But hey it’s an ice cream shop. Would definitely also suggest the coffee as it was as good as the custard and none of the calories.
The four on the atmosphere is not for the shop but for the general difficulty in parking and traffic to and from.

I absolutely love Whit’s! They have the most unique combinations of custards and fill it full of toppings all the way through!! So when you reach the bottom, there are still pieces of toppings!!! My favorite is Cookie Monster, it is AMAZING!! Their Red Velvet and Strawberry Shortcake is also GREAT! Once you try Whits, you will never go back to eating regular ice cream. #Teamwhits

What a gem of a place, located right in the heart of thriving downtown Ashland! The interior is so comfortable, open, and inviting. They have a nice coffee bar (which I didn’t utilize this visit), a well-stocked freezer case with treats to take home, and of course the main counter.
I and my friend were greeted warmly by a worker who was both knowledgeable and personable. She was patient and helped guide me into picking a perfect treat for myself.
The frozen custard was delicious, and I love the wide variety of add-ins and toppings.
Can’t wait for my next trip back to try…everything!

Visiting Ashland and WOW what a poor way to be greeted! Didn’t know they were closed. It’s 3 pm on a Thursday and my grandchildren wanted a “treat”. Some extremely rude lady opened the door and with a sour face, said “that kid inside the store is my kid and we’re closed! We are always closed on Thursdays ”. Without another word, she closed the door and relocked it. I own a business and if I had an employee treat a potential customer like that, I would not tolerate it.

We had Whit’s cater frozen custard at our wedding, and they were one of my favorite vendors to work with! Every single person I worked with was so incredibly sweet and helpful from the initial contact, to the tasting, to the day of the wedding. I worked with Emily the most, and she made everything so easy. There was so much flexibility in what they offered too! If we wanted a specific flavor, they worked with us to make it. Emily even made sure that the way they set up the table at our wedding would work well with the rest of our decorations. Then an unexpected highlight was being able to take home the leftover frozen custard and toppings that were not eaten during the reception. Such a treat! I should also say that the frozen custard itself was absolutely delicious! It was so fun having it at our wedding, and our guests loved it! I’ll definitely be getting Whit’s Frozen Custard every time I’m in Ashland!

Just left there and I would give more stars but before leaving me and my bf decided we was gonna try the 606 coffee we got up and stood in front to order but the one employee that was at the counter for icecream was leaned up on the counter on her phone not paying attention so after a few mins of waiting we decided to leave.
