Restaurant appeared nice & clean inside & staff was friendly. Unfortunately, our drink & food orders were wrong. Margarita ordered with no salt on rim, but received salt. Food ordered with no onions, but received alot of onions + peppers – which did not show on menu description. Not sure we will return.

Experience. Our waitress was just as amazing as our food. We tried the fajita jalisco and I had a Long Island Iced Tea that was made just how I asked. I can’t wait to go back and try one of their many other dishes.

Amazing seafood! Crispy shrimp tacos weren’t on the printed menu but we saw them on Instagram and they were amazing! All the seafood was great, especially the oysters topped with shrimp ceviche. Atmosphere is nice and service was outstanding. A hidden jewel in Waterloo. Can’t wait to go back!

My husband, myself, and my twin grandkids came for lunch. We were assisted immediately by a lovely and bubbly waitress. I had a chimichanga with rice and beans. It was delicious. I don’t normally eat rice, but I almost ate it all. My husband had the burrito fajita and a beef tamale and devoured it all. I was able to get one bite of his tamale and it was, wow, I will be returning to this establishment. Thank you for the awesome service and the delicious food.

I knew this place was special when I had their chips and salsa. I’ve never had salsa that good. I ordered the Chile Colorado. I always do. I can tell a lot about a restaurant when I get it. Most places don’t even make it. Super happy.
My husband got the ceviche, and oysters prepared the El Barco way. He said it was perfect.
The waiter/hostess was super attentive. Always made sure we were good. I can’t say enough good things.
Highly recommend this place for the seafood. It’s actually FRESH. We were truly spoiled today.

We’ve been waiting with excitement for El Barco to open just down the street from where we live. We saw they were open today and stopped for lunch! I had the shrimp ceviche and it was delicious. My husband had a burrito that he enjoyed very much. Margarita was fantastic! Really like how they decorated and the menu is extensive- already planning what I’ll have next time!

Great portion sizes and fast service! I went for lunch and received my lunch fajitas within minutes! It came with plenty of meat and veggies and two full sides for half the price!
I was a little hesitant about it at first solely because of the location and appearance of the outside of the building, but it was clean inside and the staff was very professional.

Was forgotten about by the server till my wife stood up and asked another server to order since ours took everyone’s order who came after us…. food was amazing, tho as was the margarita ill be coming back mainly cause they know how to cook and make a drink definitely worth it

Tortillas served in foil to help keep warm and turned cold the moment you open the foil. Hair in drink. Queso was watery. Good wasn’t good. Tables was dirty. Waiter should probably know both English and Spanish was unable to take orders which then caused the group to wait for another. Place was still under construction. The waiter we ended up with was nice service needs work and more staff.
