We happened upon Fat T’s Cafe while in Cresco, and it was a terrific experience. Our server (and the bartender) greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere of the cafe is cute, warm, and cozy. There were great options on the menu and our orders were ready quickly. Both of our meals were delicious. We will be back.

The mango turkey panini is so good that I crave it and probably get it once a week. I order to go and its always ready within about 10 min and they DEFINITELY know how to properly fry fries! Owner is super cool also and truly cares about his food quality.

We were in town for a wedding and hadn’t had lunch so stopped in for a bite. Nathan, co-owner, was wonderful! He explained what beverages he had, talked about the menu and visit with us in the history of the restaurant. Our food was delicious!! Stop in and discover this gem in a small town in Iowa!

They have a rotating sandwich menu, soups and smoothies to try. Along with impact coffee (a house blend) youll only get here! My first time here the owners are super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Everything is reasonablely priced too. I almost forgot to take a picture of the “Fat T Melt” I ordered because it was so good. If you want breakfast, they serve 7am-10am by the way. They do private parties and catering from what I hear too.

Offering an all you can eat/ buffet style Taco salad bar for $12 from 11-9 Tuesday through Saturdays makes it a great place to stop for a quick bite! We will try a panani next time we’re in town.
