Quaint and delicious Korean bistro! I no longer have to drive to McAllen to satisfy my Korean food cravings—Brownsville finally has a gem. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Monday and were seated right away, though the restaurant quickly filled up afterward. The dining area is cozy, with just seven booths and one table for six, which adds to its charm. Despite how busy it became, our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. We started with the tteokbokki with cheese, which was outstanding. The broth was rich and creamy, the rice cakes were stuffed with melty cheese, and the dish had just the right touch of spice—absolutely delicious.
For our entrées, we ordered the kimchi jjigae and chicken bibimbap, both served with a choice of sides. Since the cucumber salad was unavailable, we opted for the Korean street corn and dumplings instead, and we’re glad we did! The corn was cheesy and full of flavor, while the dumplings were perfectly savory. Korean spices and flavors are distinctly different from our familiar Mexican flavors, and the depth and complexity in each dish made every bite incredibly satisfying. We’ll definitely be back because the japchae is next on my list to try!

We got 3 different entrees to try it out,
Dumplings were crispy hard on one side, soggy on the other.
Rice was clumpy i was cutting it with the fork, the fresh veggies saved the dish.
We added PORK BELLY to two of our dishes, it’s like BACON STRIPS, but salty!!!
The chicken wasn’t salty it was ok.
We hope to come back again and try it again.

As soon as you walking, it smells delicious. The atmosphere is very homey and pleasant. It’s a nice little location.
Menu, however, is very limited. The Bibimbap with bulgogi was very salty. The Cheese corn was bland. The Sottoek was not impressive, just a few lil Smokey’s on a skewer. Food was OK..

I had the Ganjang bibimbap. At first it was your basic non spicy rice bowl (cuz i don’t do spicy)but when I added the tangy sauce it was next level. So good! There are spicy selections if your into that. The dumplings were too spicy for me but my husband liked them.

The food was absolutely fantastic. It was spicy but not overwhelming, cheesy, creamy, wonderfully seasoned. I absolutely loved everything, and even though I dont like the texture of glass noodles, I tried my husband’s and it was tasty, regardless of texture! There wasnt a huge wait, everything seemed to be prepared fresh. This is now one of my favorite places in Brownsville!!

Been a favorite since they’ve opened. I was stationed in Yongsan Korea and I can say the food is authentic and delicious. The whole staff to include the kitchen take pride in their job. Enough can’t be said about the owner Hugo who’s lived in Korea himself as he has brought a piece of Korea to Brownsville! They are wonderful people who take pride in this place..

I went to try out this place with a couple of my friends for the first time. We ordered three different appetizers: The Korean Cheese Corn, Tteokbokki, and the dumplings. For our main entrees we got the Cheese Ramyun, and both of the Bimpimbap Bowls with all three each including one free side, and we all ordered the cucumber kimchi. Everything tasted perfect, and nothing was off by flavor or presentation even slightly. On top of that, our server was so nice! She answered every question we had with so much patience even though I think we asked about a million. The atmosphere is so calm and almost homey. I would definitely come here again!

We’ve been looking forward to trying out K-Yummy: Korean Bistro and we finally came out! Since the restaurant is in the ‘soft opening’ phase, the menu is a little small, BUT the flavors are absolutely amazing! The portion sizes are great! We ordered the dumplings (both regular and spicy), the ramyun pork, ramyun beef bulgogi, and the kids ramyun, which is like a cheesy ramen. Each plate comes with a side – I got the dumplings, as did my daughter, and my wife tried the Korean cheese corn. EVERYTHING we had was delicious, and we will definitely be coming back! As someone who lived in Korea for a year, I can honestly say this is the best Korean ramen I’ve had since 2017 when I lived there. I say this is the flavor i have been searching for since I came back from Korea! If you’re in Brownsville, stop by and check them out!

It’s a new spot and the wait time is to be expected. It was totally WORTH it. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. We will definitely be back. The chef personally came out and apologized for the wait, very kind staff. 10/10
