A hidden gem! Waka House is one of the best places to get sushi in Baton Rouge. My wife said it was the best miso soup she’s ever had and the sashimi I got was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back.

Fabulous sushi, both raw and cooked options. Also their miso soup is the best I’ve ever had. The owner and staff are delightful and accommodating to our special requests. We eat there every week and look forward to our Waka day!.

I have tried different items like sushi rolls and beef donburi. They’re all tasty and reasonably priced to me. I saw many people dining in or taking out, but I didn’t have to wait whenever I visited. Overall, nice spot for hanging out while enjoying comfort food!

They were super nice and catered to my two young daughters amazingly. I ordered enough food for my family or so I thought and I got generous amount. Enough so I could feed us for the next 2 nights. The Sushi was amazing and the fried rice was awesome.

My group ordered the Hayden roll along with several others. They were all very delicious. I also enjoyed the dumplings They were cooked to perfection. This place has a very laid back family friendly atmosphere. If you decide to come, plan on staying here for a while. It is worth it.

We have had a very hard time finding good Asian restaurants in this city, but the food is very good at the Waka House. The teriyaki salmon was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were also very good. The ingredients were fresh.

The facilities were clean and service was excellent.

Definitely recommended.

I’ve been here a few times, and the food is usually good and fair priced. Came for lunch today and it took forever, waited at least 30 minutes for a single roll. The young man working here is also quite rude…decent little spot but not a fan of this guy. Also, no music so it’s uncomfortably quiet! Had to edit this to add, WORST SERVICE EVER. THIS GUY IS SO RUDE!!!!! He tossed our ticket on the table, and gave me a Styrofoam box for my ramen. Didn’t seem to care if we wanted our tickets separate and ignored us.
