This place is absolutely worth stopping for We pulled over at random and the ice cream was fantastic. Since we were in a group, I got to taste a bunch of different flavors, everyone insisted that theirs was the best.
The lemon ice cream was transcendent.
15 hands was a crowd favorite and Appaloosa (molasses cream with fudge pieces and white chocolate also was popular.
I loved the coffee ice cream which had a coffee bitterness and richness that’s rare.
Point is, you really can’t go wrong here.

Also ordered a Hamburger & Fries and they were also Great & Old Fashioned.
I look forward to trying the rest of the Menu. There is no inside dinning room. Plenty of shaded picnic tables outside or take it to the car like a Drive-in.
Their ice cream has no air fluff to it. It is Real – Premium thick ice cream. To have it right here in Sheridan is a very Special Treat. Highly, highly recommend so please – please visit for a meal and ice cream. Even if the meal fills you up force yourself to some awesome ice cream.

Awesome shop, great service, had orderd 3 pints and a sundea off doordash, sundea was missing. Doordash wouldnt return. Owner drove the missing sundea to our house and delivered. That is above and beyond. This is what customer service is. 5 stars, will def return.. oh yeah! The ice cream is amazing!

Ice cream! We stopped and had a hand dipped, hand made waffle cone Full of hand made, 15 hands flavored ice cream!! This is the BEST ice cream we’ve ever had! (Sorry Tillamook) so creamy and full of flavor! The cone held up for 30 minutes!! The owner is super nice, friendly and great to talk to! Not only did we have the best ice cream, but great company and conversation!

6.13.23. We had the Ham/cheese and roast beef/ cheese sandwiches with homemade chips. Excellent sandwiches and amazing chips (a little dark and crispy). For dessert we had Fouls Gold and 15 hands ice cream, wow so good. Enjoyed talking to the owner, nice guy. Must stop in Sheridan!!!

The best handcrafted ice cream I’ve had in years! A bit from the center of town but well worth the stop. And don’t be fooled by the building…I believe this is also where the ice cream is made. We have tried the “15 Hands”, “Fools Gold” and “Green Pastures” and can recommend them all. If you have been going to Dairy Queen, it’s time you try the real thing. I know we will be back for more soon!

The Cowboy Creamery is absolutely amazing! The ice cream and service could not have been better. We loved it so much that we went back the next day before continuing our travels from Virginia. Everything I tried was incredible, but I fell in love with the 15 hands flavor! Cowboy Creamery will always be a stop for us now when coming through Sheridan!
