Finally! My hubby and I so soooo excited we found this place! Hands down best tacos in freaking Ventura County! We have been living here a year and from Oxnard just couldn’t find a good Mexican food place we have tried them all we are not picky picky but we like good Mexican food and sorry Ventura is scarce. But this is a true gem, great customer service, food fresh, nice lil market with lots of options inside. The tacos were filled with meat and tortillas fresh! Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu!!

Little North Ventura gem. On the same street as the original Lalo’s that the locals rave about. But, Angie’s Deli blows Lalo’s outta the water!! It is so much better and they offer Tripas most of the time which is my fav. If you want traditional food that taste’s like moms you gotta go here. The beans and rice are better and their chicken is better. I love their salsa is better and you get a normal amount instead of a little tsp. container like Lalo’s. ¡Esta mi favorito cualquier dia! Gracias!!

Tripes are lightly crunchy. They are good. Cabeza is good. Ran out of lengua :(. Icee inside the liquor store was more a snow cone than an icee. Nice folks

Absolutely astonishingly delicious. Service was quick, multilingual, fantastically polite, and the food came out hot and fast. There’s only one table, it wobbles a bit, and you’re overlooking a parking lot, but the food is good enough to close your eyes and take you anywhere else you’d like to go

This place is great!! Food is delish, people are helpful & very friendly, service is fast. Homemade salsas, I love the bean & cheese burritos that’s what I order every time I go there, with the green salsa yum! The prices are great, if you have a chance stop by and grab some yummy food you won’t regret it.

First off, know Angie’s is located @ Red Barn Liquor. No malice though; it’s always a hoot when you bring someone and they ask, “We’re going to a liquor store for tacos?”

That being said, I absolutely love their tacos de cabeza. Best quality to value for item received, bar none and have yet to order anything else from here. Many people I’ve brought swear by the lengua as well.

You can order from one of the friendly people at the window outside the entrance to Red Barn or go to the counter inside. I always use the window, so have no idea if the counter experience/menu is different.

I ding one star for the atmosphere as there is only 1 plastic table adjacent the window that, depending on your parties’ physical properties, will not accommodate everyone. I tend to order to go unless it’s a slow day and with a small group.

The other star is due to the horror show of a parking lot that is but a few steps from the ordering window and table… I detailed that below.

Good food at good prices. They have a good mix of menu items so there is something for everyone to eat. Plus they have a desert case full of cakes and pies.
Excellent ‘street tacos’ with fixings and a variety of salsa.
Good variety of drinks including homemade horchata.
I eat here regularly.

I’ve been going here for years. One of the last places locally you can get a great meal with reasonable prices as well along with great customer service. Everyone here is nice and accommodating. Whether you call a order in or order at the window. A hardworking small business that puts heart into their craft and community. Highly recommend over Lalos, Maggies, Johnny’s, Corrales.
