Popped in for afternoon dinner and glad we did.
The food was outstanding, fresh and tasty.
Had the seafood platter and Venison burger. Also mussels washed down with local ales.
Comfy seating, friendly staff and wonderful views of Loch Tay.

Overall, very nice. Delicious food and a beautiful setting. Plenty of parking across the road, and some new EV chargers (which unfortunately have not been activated yet). Most of the staff were extremely friendly, but one clearly did not want to be there and was very abrupt and unwelcoming. It didn’t detract from our overall experience though, which was very positive.

Staying at Taymouth Marina for three nights and so far visited the Ferryman’s Inn for lunch and dinner. On both occasions we can’t overly fault the food, it was good – however the service is another story. Busy place with decent atmosphere, but the waiting times were a bit ridiculous. 5 of us booked in for 7.30pm and only got our main courses at 9.10pm. Very little communication from waiting staff just, the kitchen is busy so it’ll be a delay but we still waited an hour from starter to main with the restaurant getting less and less busy. My friend ordered the fish and chips and the chips were just fries rather than hand cut chips. We ordered a bottle of red to come with the steaks and the waiter put the wine on the table and left but we had no wine glasses. We had to ask twice for these – once being the waiter who had ‘delivered’ the wine for him to say of course and then walk past us 5 minutes later and just no mention of the glasses. A table near us clearly had complained – same issues with wait times and wine and got their wine for free and money off their bill and I guess jokes on us cause we said nothing but there was nothing offered to us.

The location is stunning and the views are unreal. The food is good but be prepared for a loooong wait whenever you go.

Beautiful setting, with stunning views we stopped for lunch, pizzas were really good I had to have gluten free and the pizza was really nice, made to feel very welcome also had my dad in a wheelchair it could be better adapted as lots of small stones but they did give us a ramp to get down to the restaurant for lunch.

What a place! No word of exaggeration, this fantastic bar and restaurant has absolutely made our holiday. We have been nearly every day for the holiday atmosphere, stunning location, wonderful staff and amazing food.

OK, so it’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for! A view like you get here, with friendly and helpful staff and delicious food is worth paying a premium for. If we wanted naff we could go to a naff place with lower prices. But we want everything that The Ferryman’s Inn offers.

Thankfully we still have two days left of our holiday so we can go back and enjoy more from the lovely menu. It’s also very welcoming to four legged friends and so our two have had a great time too.

Because we’ve been lucky enough to have great weather we’ve eaten outside every day, but one of the lovely young ladies that has been looking after us here showed me around the restaurant inside. It’s beautiful. Somewhere that I can’t wait to cosy up in over winter.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

The pizza’s here are great, but echoing other reviews; the service is a downfall.

The lady who came to the front desk and took our reservation details hummed and hawed as to whether or not we would be able to have our table reservation as we were 15 minutes late (We ran 10 minutes over from getting changed from the spa then waited 5+ minutes to be acknowledged by staff as we stood by the entry desk of the restaurant). The lady then walked us to our table, saying “The point is- you’re late”. We were all gobsmacked. I’ve actually visited twice in the last 6 months, and my different friends I’ve visited with have commented this member of staff is rude and uninviting upon every visit.

Our visit today was actually for my birthday (haha…). Unbeknownst to me, my friends had already sneaked in a birthday cake, asked the staff to bring it out after dinner and mistakingly told the staff the reservation was for 4, but I made the reservation for 3:30. (We’d got there at 3:45- not a huge deal, right?) It just seems a bit strange to be greeted with such a unpleasant attitude when -in hindsight- the lady was clearly aware it was a birthday dinner booking (as they’d had a cake put away), but persisted to be cold to us throughout our stay by avading our eye contact/not answering us when taking our order. It was bizarre, and again a real shame because the pizza’s were 10/10!

Still had a nice birthday, but I don’t fancy returning here after a relaxing spa visit, or the spa again for that matter.

Beautiful place, delicious food after our spa! Jay was so kind and helpful, we had the fish and chips, Mac and cheese side and Nduja pizza. Highly recommend all we had.
Even if you aren’t going to the spa definitely pop in for some food.
Archie was great as well, very attentive!

Lovely location to dine or have a drink. Really great and friendly staff. Food was nice but some dishes were expensive for portions. Sharing boards were good value. Would recommend booking. Dog friendly inside and out. Lovely terraced area with good protection for bad weather.

Great location at the side of Loch Tay. But seating was high stools & high table – not the easiest to sit at.
It was obviously busy & we booked ahead – took an age for the drinks to arrive & had got it wrong when they did.
We ordered steak & the rack of lamb – the meat was great. But both the chips (steak) & potatoes rosti (lamb) were burnt & hard.
The lamb came with a bean cassoulet – but was just haricot & beans arranged around the side, no cause or casserole with it.
We advised the waitress that the potatoes were burnt, but didn’t really get a response.
In all a disappointing & expensive meal !!
Also, the toilet is outside (not good if raining) & no hand towels in the toilet cubicle, to dry your hands – doesn’t make sense !!
Sorry, but wouldn’t eat here again
