Me and 5 of my friends went for restaurant week. It was pretty good. The drinks were good (highly recommend the mellow yellow), food was decent and the service was great.

10/10 recommend! I had the 4-course restaurant week menu and was so impressed, it was a GREAT deal. Bread and butter, 5 oysters, a perfectly cooked filet, Brussel sprouts and a slice of chocolate cake all for $55. Also, the “so long, London” was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The service was so friendly and attentive, shoutout to my server William who did a great job! Every employee was extremely welcoming and made the experience memorable. They even have an adorable dog menu and brought my pup a water bowl and pup cup. I’ll definitely be back.

I came here on a Thursday night with about eight of my coworkers. The place wasn’t busy at all. Our waiter, a very kind Italian man, provided great service. The atmosphere is lovely.
I’m deducting a star because the service was incredibly slow. I don’t blame our server, but whatever other factors were at play really dragged out the process.
I ordered the roast beef and swapped the mashed potatoes for mac and cheese—it was tasty. The Brussels sprouts were good, and the Alchemist drink was lovely. I’d come back for a date night, but not if I’m starving!

I usually pick the best thing on the menu but seemed to do the opposite last night however all my friends dishes were great. My special cocktail, seasonal gnocchi and oysters were mid but their wine list is top notch. Other dishes might be good but my friends kept it simple with burgers and chicken (sandwich / entree) and more classic cocktails. Very well appointed hotel restaurant on a quiet side street off 14th.

Loved the restaurant week menu! Started with the Mac and cheese which was sooo rich and perfect! Then had the pot roast which was so tender and fell apart. Then had the banana rum cake which was the best end to the meal. The My kink is Cardamom was the sweetest/ fruitiest drink on the menu and was so complex yet delicious! Would definitely recommend and plan to return!
And the meal started with the most delicious free bread which is too rare these days!

Dovetail is a hidden gem. The cocktails were excellent, prepared by a bartender who clearly knows her trade extremely well. The food was, without exception, outstanding. (Had the weather been better we would have eaten on the very attractive patio.) Happy Hour (4-6) alone had some great and innovative choices (including an outstanding corvina ceviche). I can only conclude that the relatively few people eating there is due to the fact that it is not well-known. Well, it should be a LOT better known! Try it! You’ll love it!

Highly recommend if you are looking for an absolutely amazing night. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming. While we did not eat on the patio, it was a gorgeous space away from the street so it felt more private than most outdoor options. We were greeted with a lovely note from the staff waiting for us at our table celebrating our first wedding anniversary which was incredibly thoughtful. My husband and I ordered the corn chowder and pork croquettes respectively which were both amazing. Though we both preferred the croquettes due to the lovely smokiness of the meat and the pickled watermelon that came with it. For our entré my husband had the dry aged new York strip which he described as the best steak he’s ever had. I had the striped bass which was moist, flaky and flavorful. For anyone looking for a delicious meal with attentive staff and an elegant ambiance Dovetail is the place to go!

We came for bottomless brunch during restaurant week and ordered off their 3 course menu. I started with the Mac and cheese, then had the pot roast hash for my main and finished with the beignets for dessert. Mac and cheese was good! I also tried the deviled eggs and liked those too. For the main, the Roseda farm pot roast hash was not as good as I hoped. It was also slightly different than what was shown on their online menu. Online it was listed with Yukon potato and a hollandaise sauce. The menu in person listed sweet potato and no hollandaise. I did request to change it to regular potato as I wasn’t a sweet potato fan, and hoped it would be more similar to the online menu option. What came was not as I expected. It felt a little bland to me and didn’t resemble what I thought a hash was. For the dessert the beignets were great and I loved the espresso cream it came with.
This was a bottomless brunch so we were given mimosas throughout the meal. They were definitely strong and I appreciated the waiter refilling our drinks during our time! We sat in their outdoor covered porch area which was still heated and a great set up.

Went here for valentines day yesterday. The food was not great my risotto was undercooked and short rib extremely fatty. A salad with absolutely no flavor. The dessert of chocolate lava cake had no lava and was bitter since it was dark chocolate. The worst part about it was they started moving tables and sweeping and even turned on the house lights and started trying to pressure us to leave even though their service was slow. This was the most unprofessional service and restauraunt experience I’ve ever had and I worked in fine dining for 5 years. Do not recommend. Long story short food is nasty service sucks, overpriced. Go elsewhere.

Visited Dovetail on a whim for restaurant week and we had an awesome experience. The staff was all so kind and helpful, everyone in our group LOVED the food and drinks, and the location is great just off the 14th street strip. One of the better options on 14th for a quality meal! Worth every penny!! Also an awesome place for an intimate cocktail, the bar tenders were talented and they stocked unique cocktail ingredients.
