I am disappointed with this restaurant after trying it three times. The first time I tried this restaurant, a few months ago, I really liked the food. I don’t know if it was cooked extra special that day or what, but I tried it two more times and the food somehow wasn’t as good as the first time. This third time, the food was below average. The best thing was probably the General Tso’s chicken. The chicken lo-mein wasn’t that good, the noodles were rubbery, and the dish could have used some mushrooms and onions. I also was not impressed with the chicken and broccoli dish. I think I liked the broccoli more than the chicken itself, which were covered in a very “generic” sauce, which I did not care for too much. I wish I liked it as much as the first time I tried it. Then it was like 5 out of 5, but not anymore. Also the cashier was not very friendly. I gave the place three tries and probably won’t be coming back in the foreseeable future.

I ordered 2 different things, kung pao chicken and pork with garlic combination. Let me tell you honestly. All foods are oily. Especially fried rice and egg rolls smell like bad-old oil. It means they didn’t change the oil for a long time. Also, pork with garlic should be little spicy (cause they put spicy mark on the menu) But it is sweet!! There were no spicy smell and taste. And wan-tang soup is salty. Just salt!! What is going on here.. even I order around 8:30 pm, they can’t sell their foods like this. I paid $27.45!! I only finished white rice!! Kidding me?

Today was our first time and last time ordering from Oriental Express. Our order was missing several items (a sauce for one of the meals and an order of egg rolls – we ordered 2 and got 1). In addition, a couple of the food items were stale. We saw a lot of 1 star ratings for this place and we ignored it. I wish we had ordered from China Express as one of my family members suggested.

O ordered chicken Hunan here. Meat is cookeded tenderly, and the accompanying vegetables is ok. However, the rice is in lower quality and contain ls too much water. Ok restaurant but I have better choices around here.

We get take out, always. It is PRICEY but the food is not overly oily like some chinese restaurant food is, and the meals seems fresh, good quality, and very flavorful with good spicing (and the food is always nice and stove hot). So maybe it’s worth the extra $? We order from them regularly, so it appears we think so!

I needed catering quickly for about 20 people. The prices were great, and they were able to take my order with just one day notice. I ordered chicken fried rice, vegetable lo mein, chicken and vegetables, beef and broccoli, sauteed eggplant dish, and sweet and sour chicken. The portions are very generous! We had a lot of food left over even after everyone took some home. No complaints from our guests. Everyone liked it, and several were surprised at how cost friendly their party sizes were. We ended up spending about $300 w/ tip. A lot of my guests liked the eggplant dish.

I highly recommend this place if you’re like me and are in a pinch and need party trays fast. However, seeing how guests liked the food, I will definitely be coming back.

So, this isn’t a restaurant that one would typically dine at, but ordering for carry out or delivery is highly recommended. If you’re craving really good Chinese food and you can’t wait, this is the best place in our area to get the food fast! A lot of restaurants in the area could learn a lesson. The “Express” in their name is not to be taken lightly! And the food is REALLY GOOD!

This has been my go to Chinese takeout spot for the last few years. The food has always been hot, fresh, and delicious! We’ve tried most things on the menu and have been happy with it all. Some of the appetizers leave a little to be desired, but it’s still good.

House favorites: Beef w/ Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, Spring Rolls, and Egg Drop Soup

Vegan options with the mock meats are so good. Even if we get delivery the food is always steaming hot. Our go-to in the area.
