I’m not exaggerating when I say Mud On Main changes my morning routine. Whenever I’m driving west, I willingly put off my morning coffee just to get it here. If you know coffee lovers, you know that’s saying something – we don’t delay our caffeine for anything.
But Mud On Main is worth every minute of that drive. My favorite latte here is amazing. The baristas clearly know what they’re doing, and you won’t find a friendlier crew.
There’s something special about a place where you’re ready to push your first cup back by 30 minutes. Mud On Main has that magic. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Cherokee, do yourself a favor and stop in. Five stars – no question about it! I wish I could get it every morning!

I had an amazing experience here. The food was delicious and hot, and when someone had mistakenly taken my drink, I had ordered they apologized right away and made me a new drink. They even brought it to my table for me so I could continue eating. I ordered the biscuits and gravy (half plate) and my drink was a large Morning Mud (hot) and both of them came out perfect. My only regret is I didn’t get a picture of the food!

The first time I stopped here I got a regular drip coffee; the barista didn’t seem interested in being helpful or answering questions and the coffee left a lot to be desired. I ended up throwing most of it out. I really wanted to like this place and stopped in again to try a specialty coffee. Different barista, same attitude. I wouldn’t have minded paying top dollar for a good specialty coffee but the one I received tasted like water and whatever sweetener they’d used. I couldn’t even taste coffee in it. Nice ambience but service and drinks really need a tune up.

I have lived in the area for a few years now and I think i have tried all of the coffee in town. This is the ONLY place that has my repeated business. They have more than just coffee and I have enjoyed everything I have tried. Also, something I really appreciate when purchasing a drink from anywhere is the art of consistent duplication-even when made by different employees. Mud on Main does this my coffee is perfect every time! Staff is always helpful and nice, the building is clean, aesthetic is inviting with a cozy atmosphere and the new location is convenient.
