Everything we ordered was more delicious than the last. Missed some of the pictures but we started with multiple pizzas. Bianca, kids cheese, and a vegan plain with capers. Beat pizzas we’ve had outside Italy. Then we moved on to a salad and app course where we shared the chopped salad and the eggplant rollatini. The eggplant was one of the best we’ve had- so thin and not overly fried or breaded. Will definitely be ordering that every time we go back
Then on to pasta and main. We shared the veal parmigiana and the mushroom pappardelle pasta. Both were to die for and super fresh.
The food was good, though not quite on the level you’d expect from such a grand location. The grilled Spanish lobster was the standout of the night, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Peroni on draft is always appreciated, and the salads topped with shaved parmigiana were fresh and well done. The grilled octopus was flavorful but a bit too chewy.
The spicy pasta with rock shrimp was the only real miss. It tasted like a spicy red sauce tossed over kid-style pasta with tiny shrimp. It didn’t match the elegance of the rest of the menu.
That said, the bread basket was very good, the fingerling potatoes were especially crispy and seasoned well, and the cappuccino at the end was smooth and satisfying.
Overall, it’s a lovely place with thoughtful service and a few standout dishes, but the food doesn’t always match the upscale feel. Go for the view and the lobster, and maybe skip the spicy pasta.
