My wife and I ate here last Thursday. Jerry our server was very friendly and professional. The pink snapper he recommended was fresh and very tasty. My wife and I shared it. The grilled calamari was both fresh and perfectly cook not chewy at all. The lemon potato and green sides were delicious.As far as dessert we shared a warm walnut cake which had just come out it was divine. Finally, two espresso which were nice and strong not bitter. For the wine, it’s BYOB. I bought a nice Greek white wine from Santorini and shared with him that we will be spending our 35 th there. He then said you brought good wine, I’ll give you great dishes and congratulations. The place has a family feel to it and very relaxed. If you area and looking to have an authentic place with excellent food, without any reservation I recommend.

Adorable little hidden gem in Teaneck! My boyfriend and I started with the Spanikopita and hummus. He shared a chicken platter and gyro platter. Both excellent and fresh!

Absolutely amazing. WOW. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. My family hosted a recent event at Nisiotis Taverna and to say that our experience was incredible would be an understatement!
The staff was so warm and attentive. The owner & his family were all so kind and really made sure each guest felt catered to and welcome! The vibe of the restaurant was so cute & I loved that they had an outdoor section on the deck, which was so relaxing now that the weather is getting warmer. The food was insanely delicious and tasted like I was eating true authentic food made in Greece. You can tell the chef put love into each and every dish he made!
The french fries were made fresh, peeled, and cut in the back, the Horiatiki was to die for, I couldve finished the whole dish on my own. Not pictured-the hummus & pita which I actually DID finish the whole dish on my own! So incredible my mouth is watering just looking back at these photos, even after eating the leftovers that I brought home.
I cant wait to visit again, next time I am in New Jersey! 10000/10 must try!!

We had Nisiotis Taverna cater a recent relative’s birthday party, and everything was fantastic from start to finish! Dimitri was super communicative, easy to reach, and professional throughout the week leading up to the event. The delivery was right on time, the order was perfect, and the food arrived hot and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was, especially the Mixed Grill platter, Spanakorizo, and Baklava! I’d absolutely recommend Nisiotis Taverna to anyone looking for amazing Greek food/catering and great service. TYSM, Dimitri and Team!!

Phenomenal job. I ordered a chicken and beef gyro and it was delicious! The pita was nice and soft. The veggies were fresh and the meat was well seasoned. I got my food for 20 minutes and even the fries were well seasoned and crunchy! 10/10

Delicious fresh food in cozy restaurant where staff makes you feel like family. We’ve dined here on many occasions and love it every time! For appetizer, we like grilled calamari and salad. For entries- fresh fish, what ever has been caught. Have to leave room for desert!

We had the most amazing experience at Nisiotis Taverna. I worked with Dimitri to have a rehearsal dinner with 35 guests. He is so experienced and helpful in designing a meal with great flexibility for guests with food allergies. He was so responsive and gave great suggestions. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant we had incredible support from the servers. When I gave my speech, I was given a glass of champagne to make my toast. The restaurant is beautiful and airy. The food was incredible. The best calamari and salmon ever!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. I give it a 10/10!

All of the dish were very good. If you are an adventurous eater, I would recommend the liver. I was surprised of it’s taste, I can see some would not like it bc of the smell but I think I would come back here just for that liver. If you want a full meal with appetizers and main entree, price does get very expensive really quickly. If the service was improved the price would definitely be justified. Food was great nonetheless so I would recommend anyone who are looking for an authentic greek food that aren’t heavily Americanized. The menu items are titled in Greek (I assume) though. I’m not too familiar with greek food so I had to look up items on my phone to see what they are. It would be really helpful if the restaurant provided more detailed descriptions of the menu items or even some pictures perhaps! Overall a good experience.

my family and I (from Cyprus and Greece/Lesvos) have been coming to this hidden gem for years. It transports you to the seaside tavernas of Greece, and the hospitality is top-notch. Excellent authentic flavors and cuisine. Don’t miss this one!
