To give Fat Rosie’s only five stars feels wrong!
Gabby ( our amazing server) was absolutely outstanding! So nice, very knowledgeable of their menu and very professional and charming. Gabby handled 4 tables of 4 plus a big party of 12 like a champion!
The food, the presentation, the flavors, the atmosphere all is absolutely fantastic!
They are located on Meacham Rd in Schaumburg.

Ordered take out. The food did not match our expectations based on other reviews. The order was ready sooner than stated which was great, but started cooling off and was cold before it was even picked up.
No silverware or napkins were provided. Bit of a challenge when you are staying at a local hotel.
Chicken/steak fajitas – the chicken, beans, and rice were excellent! the steak was very chewy, tough and seemed to be of low quality. The veggies were over cooked and soggy, just soaking in oil. The sour cream was runny and thin. The salsa tasted like Italian pasta sauce and nothing like salsa at all.
The carne asada tacos were just okay. Not much flavor. The meat was chewy and tough.
The best thing of the entire meal were the taco chips and the tortillas. Those were really good.
Overall a very disappointing experience.

We came in with a large party that they accommodated with a call just 24 hours ahead of time. So glad we chose this place because service and food were both wonderful! Alexis was AMAZING! He made the entire so fun, it was a whole experience! All the kids in our large party had a blast. It will be a memory our cheer team won’t forget!

We love coming here! The cauliflower tacos were amazing! It can get a little loud inside and hard to have conversations but everything else is great. Bella was fantastic! Their margaritas are delicious!

I’m down in this area every year for an event and I usually end up here twice over the course of three days. They are so quick and efficient with the food. The place was packed and two if us sat immediately. Whether I’m by myself or I’m with a group of 20, the food is always good and really fast. I also love the portions. I usually get enchiladas and it’s enough to fill me but not make me uncomfortable.

In town for a convention so needed a place that was open late with sit down dining. It’s been a very long time since I’ve had Mexican food this good and I’ve never seen such a great selection of tequilas! Friday night, place was packed, didn’t have to wait thankfully, and the food came out quick and hot. There were multiple large parties there and birthdays going on so it was loud but that just seemed to enhance the atmosphere. If you like good Mexican food, go! We will be back every chance we get!

I recently visited Fat Rosie’s Mexican Restaurant and overall had a very good experience. The food was excellent — the tacos and ceviche were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the dessert was delicious as well. Their margaritas were also very good and definitely worth ordering.
The service was okay, but it didn’t leave much of an impression. The staff seemed to expect high tips despite not offering anything particularly special or memorable in their service.
Great food, great margaritas, average service. I would return for the dishes, but I hope for a more attentive and engaging service next time.
