Fantastic dinner! Sri (owner) took amazing care of our group and remembered everyone’s order perfectly without writing anything down — so impressive. I’m vegan and she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and everyone left happy and full. Cute décor, great hours, and an adorable patio for warmer weather. It’s a bit tucked away but parking is easy. Wonderful family-run spot — highly recommend!

The food was to the level of spice as indicated by our server. It was hot, fresh and delicious. The donut balls had a warm honey sauce that want too sweet. We’re from a different state passing through and would recommend RUCHI as a great spot to stop for authentic Indian cuisine-even if it’s a bit off route.

Don’t let their review score stop you from trying out their delicious food! Best Indian I have had so far. I tried samosas, mutton curry, and their Nan. Everything was DELICIOUS. The servers were nice and always made sure we were having a good experience. Will definitely come back to try more.

I just wanted to share this as well, I noticed that many of the reviews and comments seem to come from our own community. It would be wonderful if we could encourage and support new businesses that are doing their best.

We are big Indian food fans and have tried a couple of the Indian restaurants in Charlotte and this is one of the best ones we have tried. The food was delicious with so much flavor and the portions are family style. We had the chicken majestic to start and wow the flavors were amazing! We also had the tiki masala and the veggie rice and everything was soo delicious the chicken was soo creamy! The naan bread was also amazing highly recommend to dip into your sauces . The service was also amazing! We will definitely come back!

If you’ve never had Indian food before, don’t be scared! The food was fantastic, and they will help you order. When we walked in, we smelled this amazing aroma and asked what it was. So, we started with a paneer appetizer with onions and garlic. It was delicious! Then we ordered the lamb saag, which I’d never had before, and it was so tender and flavorful. You can’t go wrong with chicken tikka masala, and it was so good, that when I had the leftovers for lunch today, I ate it standing up… no wasting time to prepare a place to sit! They will customize the heat level, too. I moved from LA last year, and have high expectations for restaurants, and the food here was worthy!

We tried their Apricot Delight a few months ago, and unfortunately it was just sandwich bread with condensed milk, which we didn’t enjoy. After that experience, we were hesitant to try this restaurant again. However, we finally decided to give it another chance today, and I’m so glad we did.

This is easily one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. The mutton dum biryani was excellent—very flavorful without lot of masala. We absolutely loved it. The cooker pulao was also good, with mild spice and great flavor.

The chicken majistic was different from the usual yogurt-based version, but it tasted really good, especially since we ordered it spicy.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and would definitely recommend this place.

Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable journey! Ruchi Restaurant is a total game-changer, blowing every other Indian restaurant out of the water. Seriously, the Mutton sukka and pressure cooker Mutton pulav are on another level—each dish is an absolute masterpiece. If you’re craving mind-blowing Indian food, you HAVE to go to Ruchi!

Really great new restaurant at the Promenade! The service was very attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. The atmosphere was casual, the bathrooms were very clean, the noise level was low with nice Indian music in the background.

We had the 5 Pieces Pakora, Chicken Samosas, Vege Zafran Pilaf, paneer naan, garlic naan, Karahi Lamb, & Butter chicken. If you like spicy foods, I would recommend asking for more spice as they serve it at what they deem 5/10 which in my opinion has little to no heat. I thought the serving sizes were solid- not overwhelmingly huge but enough for two people to share. The price point was perfect as well. Overall, everything was very good! I definitely recommend visiting!

New Indian restaurant recently opened, so we decided to give it a try. Honestly, it feels quite similar to many other Indian restaurants and could use a bit more organization and uniqueness.

The food was okay but nothing that really stood out. The chicken pakora tasted more like small fried tenders, the mint sauce was fine, but the tamarind sauce was too watery. The tandoori mix platter was disappointing—it only had three types of chicken. For something called a “mix platter,” I would have expected a variety of meats, not just chicken.

The menu itself is very long—almost like a book—and can be confusing to navigate. Some descriptions are even inaccurate, for example, the Mutton Fry Pulav was listed with chicken in the description.

Overall, the place has potential, but right now it feels like “just another Indian restaurant.” A bit more attention to detail, menu clarity, and unique offerings could make it much better.
