We had such a great experience. The cashier was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. She was so personal and bubbly. The cook in the back came out to talk with us too. We’ve never had an experience like this. 10/10

Do yourself a favor and just go to Westlake or N Lake Charles donut shop. I’ve put off writing something long enough lol Donut Palace never has anything available, but if you go to Dino’s which is way busier or literally any other shop they have donuts available. Not sure why they can’t make enough or don’t want to. It’s different if “hey they’re cooking and coming out soon”..but that’s not the case. It’s frustrating sitting in line 30 min to get to the window to learn “oh sorry nothing available”. People are always nice tho, but people can’t eat nice lol They have good chocolate donuts when they decide to make them but the glazed ones taste like fry oil sometimes.

Stopped by at 4am for some fresh breakfast. Had a couple croissant, which were tasty but the bread was rather dry. The donuts were hot, fresh, and delicious. The gal working the register was kind and very entertaining, she took incredible care of me. Looking forward to my next visit.

All I can say is they are awesome! Hot coffee is the quickest way to wake me up and get my blood flowing in the morning and this is the right place for it. Donuts and kolaches are always fresh and hot and customer service is always on point with a smile!

Based on my own experiences, I have noticed that the cooks do not wear gloves. It doesn’t seem to be clean or sanitary. I ordered a jalapeno and cheese kolache. They gave me a ham and cheese kolache, probably the smallest piece of ham I’ve ever seen.. they are usually out of donuts even at opening time. Most importantly the staff is not very friendly!

What is wrong with the chocolate? It’s Like when you get your nails done at a shop and that overwhelming chemical smell, then your eating that on a donut! So weird and can not even finish eating a bite! No other place in our area tastes like that! Other than that glazed donuts are good and it is usually fast and friendly service! Donut Palace is the very best Donut Shop in the Lake Charles area. Their not the heavy cake donuts.. these melt in your mouth.. they do make the cake donuts.. so they do have them. They have a Great variety of everything..
Their crescent are the best.. especially the sausage, egg and cheese.. omg. That’s so good. And their huge.. right at same size as a Whopper at Burger King..
The owner is so very sweet.. and her employees are actually glad they have a job.. their like working for her..
There easy to get to on 171 in Moss Bluff.. and if you want a large order, and hot donuts just call them ahead of time and that’s exactly what you will get.. and their oh so good.. you will be glad you tried them..

Best donuts in the bluff! Staff is really helpful and they offer a really good selection of donuts, kolaches and my favorite bear claws and apple fritters. Prices are very reasonable, really clean and awesome variety of goods.
