GREAT little cafe. The Belgium waffle was excellent. Disco fries were bathed in the perfect proportion of gravy to mozzarella while maintaining that ideal crisp that we love so much. Service was excellent. Price was very reasonable. Strongly recommend this place.

Found this place through Yelp and the amazing reviews. It is a fabulous family owned breakfast nook filled with delicious homemade food! The pancakes were delicious. The eggs were fluffy and so tasty. The ingredients were fresh. They have fresh cut fries. Family atmosphere made me feel good and the prices were extremely reasonable. The owners are so friendly and stop by to say hello. They really care about the quality of food and promised to make any concerns right! We came the day before St. Patty’s Day and the specially made Irish goodies were delicious. Highly recommend it. Don’t miss the location (behind the wine and spirits).

If the great food and atmosphere doesn’t impress you, the excellent service will. The entire staff, including the owner, made sure our coffee mugs remained full. I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. The flavor of the fresh blueberries combined with the perfectly golden exterior and fluffy interior still has my mouth watering.

This place is simply amazing! My father and I went for the first time today and everyone treated us like family. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious! Best french toast I’ve had in a while. There Irish soda bread is so delectable. I would definitely recommend this place.

What a great place. Off the main beaten path and a gem. The food tasted crisp and clean. The service was so friendly and embraced my crazy kids. Pancakes, French toast and beach body omelet was delicious. I highly recommend and we will be back. Very clean establishment, personable staff and just all around great!

Took my nephew here for his birthday & he was surprised with Belgian waffles. I ordered the stuffed french toast & it was literally heaven in my mouth. It was hands down the best french toast I’ve ever eaten in my life!! My mom ordered Belgian waffles that looked delicious! I ordered eggs & potatoes that were yummy too. I had a new waitress named Jen who was excellent & attentive! I wished I lived closer so I could eat here regularly as I love breakfast food. I highly recommend & next time I visit I’ll definitely have to visit!

Looked online for a good place for breakfast that was reasonably priced, found it! This is by far the best cafe that I have had the pleasure to patronize in a very long time. I had a true Irish Breakfast that brought me back to childhood. I had two eggs, with Irish Bangers (sausage), and Irish Soda Bread. It came with potatoes that only an Irish person can cook, perfection! I had a cup of coffee, but next time will have a cup of Barry’s tea like my daughter did. My wife ordered the Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast, she loved it! Staff was friendly and service was great. Thank you for the great meal, we will be back!

The breakfast here is very good, special today was corned beef hash, it was excellent. Omelettes are made to order and also very good. On a busy day when the outside is open service can be extremely slow. Today was not busy so the service was good. It’s a 4.5 for food and a 3.5 for service.

Nice Mom & Pop breakfast and lunch cafe. We went for lunch on a cool early fall day and decided to take advantage of the outdoor seating. Backstreet Cafe has nice landscaping and low background music making for an enjoyable and relaxing experience, away from the noise of River Road.
We ordered The Mediterranean Chicken panini, which was tasty as well as the Tuna melt with Provolone and tomato. Excellent choice and presentation as well. The Sweet Potato fries are plentiful and crispy. No brown sugar or honey, which we preferred.
Waitstaff was friendly and always with a smile, even though they were shorthanded. Wait time for food was a little longer than we expected, however management is addressing this with a help wanted sign in the window and stepping in to assist their staff.
