Decided to order some menudo on this gloomy morning. I wanted take out so I could go back home and enjoy it with my family. I was a little surprised when I poured the soup into the bowl that there was no hominy. I have been to places in the past that didn’t serve it with hominy, but usually that is stated somewhere on the menu.
Overall, the soup had good flavor, just missing the much needed texture of the hominy. The tripe was slightly slimy in texture. Not confident I’d order this again, but willing to try other items on the menu.
I really appreciate that they give you cilantro, onions, and limes.

Love the breakfast tacos. I have been around the breakfast taco block and these make me happy. In the picture you can see they are huge and my 3 and 4 year old almost cleaned their plate. The machacado is exactly the way I like it, very flavorful and made with the correct meat. I also had a mini taco plate last weekend and it was great as well.
Some of these reviews I am reading are ridiculous. This restaurant is a simple place more along the line of a local hole in the wall restaurant. Which are the best Mexican food spots in my opinion. These reviewers take themselves too seriously.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at your Mexican restaurant and wanted to share my experience with you. While I enjoyed some aspects of my visit, there are a few areas that I feel could be improved upon.
Let me start by expressing my appreciation for the ambiance of your restaurant. The warm colors and decorations truly transport you to Mexico, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, your staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel well taken care of throughout my visit.
However, I must address some concerns I had regarding the food. While the menu boasted a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, the execution fell slightly short of my expectations. The flavors seemed somewhat muted, lacking the vibrant and bold taste I associate with authentic Mexican cuisine. The presentation was also underwhelming, as the dishes lacked the visual appeal that can enhance the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, the portion sizes left much to be desired. Some of the main dishes were served with small portions, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and wishing for more. Considering the price point, I expected more generous servings.
I believe that addressing these issues could greatly enhance the overall dining experience at your restaurant. Perhaps revisiting and refining the recipes can help bring out the true flavors of Mexican cuisine. Additionally, a focus on improving the presentation of dishes can make them more appealing to customers.
In terms of portion sizes, I understand the need to strike a balance between affordability and customer satisfaction. However, finding a way to offer more generous servings without compromising profitability could greatly enhance the value proposition of your restaurant.

The food was ok. My husband liked the mole. Actually, he was attracted to come and try the moles. It’s one of our favorite dishes.
I asked for the mini taquitos plate. It was well served, but it could’ve been less dry and hotter.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the fact that there were flies around the table. Also, the place is pretty dark. Their illumination system needs enough grade.

This is a potato and bacon taco?! It looks more like a plain potato taco that a little piece of bacon accidentally fell into. Pretty ridiculous.
I also ordered the pork chop breakfast, asked for the sauce to be served on the side but, alas, it was not to be.

Finally something to eat in Fair Oaks!! Nothing against the country club but it just doesn’t push the Mexican food button. This place is fantastic! Big open dining area but not too loud. Counter service to go or lots of tables. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. The salsas are all on point (though the chips aren’t homemade they’re still good quality). But the enchiladas are so perfect, classic TexMex that makes you feel at home. The Al pastor mini taco plate had not 3, not 4, but 5 huge tacos. Will be coming here regularly!

I am so happy this restaurant opened!! I ordered the mini taco plate with al pastor, and it was great, and a large portion for $10. My boyfriend got cheese enchiladas which were also very good. Service was good and the food came out quickly.

I’m so upset, I really wanted to like this place, but the food just wasn’t very good, sorry. I got a combo plate with a taco, enchilada, and chalupa. Taco was good, everything else was okay at best. The real kicker was the queso. It was not good at all, like straight out of a can not good. I wouldn’t have served it at all. They did take it off the bill, so kudos for that, but man, it was bad. It was just like Rico’s or something you get at a game.
