I’ve bought items for years. Excellent quality and taste. I moved an hour away and it’s been years since I’ve visited. I was sad to see some of my favorite sandwiches no longer on the menu. I ordered another favorite and it was just as delicious as the last time I ordered it.

Went to honey baked in Merrillville, IN today (8/9/24) and the chicken sandwich I received was so dry, tasteless, croissant bread not fresh and pickle was shriving up (horrible). I had to go come and fix it up and that’s a shame!! If I had the time I would’ve taken the sandwich back.
This business need to get back to the food being fresh and delicious. This particular location I don’t know about all locations has really gone down (quality wise) and it use to be awesome! Need to train how to make delicious and presentable food. I’m glad I didn’t purchase anything else.

I’m sad they changed their menu. The counter person offered me try their new chicken salad before I purchased it, which I thought was very kind. I did like it enough to purchase it as a salad over lettuce. I also tried their ham and bean soup, which I enjoyed more than the chicken salad. My only complaint is that I can’t stand the smell of the cling wrap they use to wrap up their food containers. I will ask next time to not have my food containers wrapped.

I first learned about this place when it was still called Heavenly Baked Ham and have been a fan ever since. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. I love that you can get a box lunch for a great price. You Can your choice of a signature or classic sandwich, cookie or brownie (although brownies are an additional charge), chips, drink, and a pickle for only $.25 extra. The ladies who are normally there are really friendly and the store is always clean. Despite it being such a great place to eat there’s never a long line or a crowd of people. One of my fave sandwich shops.

I would’ve given an extra star if I could ever find them open. I came Wednesday and didn’t realize they closed at 4. No biggie. I came today because your Google page says you’re open until 7. Well it’s 4:30. The lights are off, the door is locked and the closed sign is in the window. My coupon is going to expire.
