We were traveling and made it into Rhinelander a little late, around 7:45 on a Saturday night. We went to 3 other restaurants on the way before this one. 2 had their kitchens closed, and 1 was temporarily closed. We figured we would stop at Club 47 to see if they had food. Vickie fired up the grill for our party of 6 and made us all the best double cheeseburgers we’ve had on our trip. The bartender before her was super nice and welcoming too. We will be back for sure, and recommend it to anyone traveling through. The locals already know that it’s a gem, and they were all great too. Thanks again Club 47, you are the best in the area!

Good local spot for a beer. Friday fish fry is a great deal. Large portions for a great price. Owner is very friendly.

I just tried the broasted chicken and it was great. Crunchy outside and very moist. Nice little northwoods bar. Very friendly owner. I will certainly be back.

All 8 of us had some type of fish dinner.
The fried haddock was good. The baked was not. Perch was so so. The large platters had dry and moist fish. The moist fish had bones in it. The crinkle cut fries needed to be more crispy. The prices were reasonable.

I don’t want to give this bar/restaurant these ratings but I have to be honest to future patrons. This bar is in serious need for a remodeling, not just an update. When you enter you will understand. Building is worn down. I worry what the kitchen looks like if this is what the customer sees.
There were 11 of us, we made reservations just to make sure there was space. It was a 5pm reservation. We sat, we waited for 15 minutes. Never greeted by the 2 employees standing in the bar. My husband had to go to the bar to get a drink order started. There was 2 customers besides us. It was then that they rushed to the table to see what we wanted to drink.
About the food… the baked haddock was dry. My sister had to put melted butter and tartar sauce on it because it was dry. She said it was seasoned well. Everyone that had the seasoned fries loved them. The regular krinkle fries were sickly white, under cooked.. My deep fried fish was okay. Guess I have been spoiled by having fresh fish we caught and ate right away.
The coleslaw had a funky taste to it.kind of bitter taste. Most of the coleslaw was not eaten.
The bar/restaurant can do what they want with this review. Please think about what your patrons say. Not just the regulars or “friends”.

Cozy little bar, and man can they cook! I had the perch fry, and literally couldn’t finish it( that’s a first for me). My friend had the Haddock and was so impressed that neither the fish or Sweet potato waffle fries were the least bit greasy.
The place was super clean and we are definitely going to be back! Got a to go menu and can’t wait to try the burgers, chicken wings, shrimp and more!!
We’ve been driving by for over 20 years and this was our first time going in…it will NOT be the last.
Thanks guys !!

Food was good, service was good, the staff is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately it smells like old grease when you walk in. Your clothes will smell for hours after you leave. The bathroom needs an update. The beer selection is limited, they don’t carry any IPA.

An up’nort local gem you do not want to skip for some home cooked food and great drinks. Highly recommend the broasted chicken.

Super friendly owners and staff! The fish fry is not only the most reasonable around, it’s fantastic! Why have a 2 hour wait at a overpriced tourist trap when you can get served with a smile…AND NO LONG WAIT! Win Win
