This evening my wife picked up a to go order from Ma’s Deli. Her and my oldest Son had the catfish plate with coke slaw, hush puppies and French fries. I had the ribeye sandwich plate with fries. We also had a couple of orders of the fried apples.We were all very pleased with our food and for 3 people to eat for 31 dollars and some change I can say I was very pleased.
Also I have stopped in for Breakfast multiple times at Ma’s Deli . Everything is always very good.
I would recommend to anyone.

The country ham breakfast is great. Our family is from Edmonton in Metcalfe County.
We always grab breakfast while on the road and passing through. Just down home people with good attitudes and a smile. That alone is worth stopping for.

Me and my friend went and the service was exceptional. I ordered pork chops and beans and mashed potatoes and corn bread. The beans and corn bread were phenomenal and real mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was huge looked really good she said it was amazing. Would highly recommend this place will be going back.

First and not to be disregarded the women working hard here are very friendly, prompt service, coffee refilled often. This seems like a trucking route stop, saw a few semis pull in. The place looks like it’s missing the gas pumps and convenient store. Cafeteria style tables and seats but I didn’t go there for a morning overlooking the bay, heh. The parking lot was kind of packed but only three parties were seated, but still plenty of parking to be had. The food was ok, very no frills, menu without prices turned out to be rather expensive considering. $5.50 for a side of 2 small French toasts I had coffee and ma’s little breakfast bill came to $17, $20 with tip. Could have had a full grilled steak lunch at Applebees for that just about. They have a hunts brothers franchise there, probably a more frugally optimal choice. (Luv me some hunts bros) The coffee was decent, the bathroom pretty clean. I would say I wouldn’t go back there too often but the girls were home town friendly and so it’s a good coffee stop venue imho. I’ll add pics next visit hopefully when I take the wife.

My family and I used to go eat at Ma’s Deli all the time in the past and I always would get their chicken, but lately it been cooked way to long that the chicken was way too hard. My mother in law mentioned it to two different people and they both rolled their eyes at us and then just ignored us and went back to what they were doing. One of them was a new waitress and the other a cook. The customer service was awful this time around. The waitress never even said hello to us and just asked “what you want.” Ma’s Deli was one of our favorite places to go eat. We used to go there about once a week if we had time, but lately it’s been once a month. My family and I will not be returning to Ma’s.

I primarily stop in at breakfast time and the occasional lunch. They are always super friendly, the coffee is great, and they make some great food at reasonable prices, though they have come up a bit as a result of the COVID nonsense that is out of their control. I’m a big fan of the omelettes with a side of biscuits and gravy for breakfast, and at lunch they have lots of stuff that’s good as well. I haven’t tried everything but so far nothing I have tried has turned out bad, and I can say they have some of the best catfish in the area whether you order nuggets, filets, or a sandwich. And now they have WiFi too, which helps a lot if you need to stay connected or if you’re eating alone and just want to scroll TikTok since there is absolutely zero cellular signal there at least 85% of the time. (My personal offhand anecdotal estimation, which is backed up by absolutely no factual information, recorded observations, or published studies, and is only stated in this review to make a point, so don’t try to sue me if it turns out to only be dead 81% of the time and you have a social life bad enough to afford the time to find out. Seriously, if you’re that bored call me, and we’ll hang out)

The prices are getting steep. They now charge you for your tea and food if you need a to go container a dollar for each container. I have never seen people do this before. So make sure you eat all your food and drink all your drink and the location or you have to pay extra money to take it with you. The bad thing is the cigarette smoke is awful . They have hanging hams for sale standing in the cigarette smoke. Not healthy for children or people with disabilities. Also they will not hire men to work at this place or people with different ethnic backgrounds.
