The best legion in all of the Midwest, hands down.
I’ve been a frequent patron to this place for years and never once had a bad experience. The bartenders here are some of the best (I’m looking at you Dan & Brett) and the quality of service is unmatched.
One of the best things this Legion does is how they ring in the different holidays. Incredible decorations for Halloween and Christmas, really adds to the seasons and makes for a great place to feel the spirit of those times.

First time at the American Legion. We had a blast! The snow was starting to fly and we wanted to get dinner before it really started coming down. We happened in right after 4pm on a Saturday, well, BINGO was in progress.
I have long held that no other fancy burger gourmet or high end bar, can beat that of a burger from an American Legion or VFW. They did not let me down here. It was fantastic! I ordered two!
We got cheese curds and Ribs and fries and chicken wings. All with beers. Played some BINGO as well. Not bad for three people at $50.
Service was better than at some high end restaurants. We’ll for sure be back!

The staff is very friendly. The drinks are affordable. They often offer buffet dinners. There are several large round tables, which are perfect for larger groups to gather and visit together.

So this place is an old fashioned bar straight out of the late 1960’s or early 70’s. You can have a couple of beers and a pizza for about $20. Good service. Karaoke on Friday’s, and bingo on other days. Also special events like Ribfest, etc. It’s not fancy, but it is extremely clean AND they want your business-everyone is welcome. An interesting gathering spot that is the antithesis of the typical gathering places in Wayzata. Keep your expectations in check and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I went here for a Friday night fish fry recently and it was a truly great experience!
The fish fry was only $10 for an all you can eat!
The food was very good and there was not a long wait at all considering it was standing room only…. It was packed!
After the fish fry was done, they were hosting a karaoke event too!
Definitely worth stopping by for good food and cheap drinks!

Best bar in the western burbs. Everything is amazing – atmosphere, staff, selection, prices. Add in awesome events, pool tables (that are actually level!), great patio with gas fire, and the best Halloween decorations around. The best!

Great place for good drink, the service is top notch and prices are more then reasonable. They have a great fire place out front which quite the humble abode, one feels quite welcome. Pool tables are a little crowded, I wish they would put them in back. The food is awesome for lunch, and they make a mean bloody Mary. If the had a live band instead of Karoke now and then it would be a treat. For a legion, its top notch for sure.

First time hear last night and it was great! I didn’t think a place like this with that crowd existed in Wayzata! All you can eat fish fry during lent for just $10. Karaoke was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. My friends and I are 52 and all the other singers had us beat by 15-20 years. And they were good too! I will be coming back!
