I really wanted to like this place, but everything except the view was horrible. We arrived at 535 hoping to get a table on the deck . We stood waiting to be seated and was told to sit anywhere we wanted. There were no tables outside so we sat by the window. It took 30 minutes to get a menu and 45 minutes until our order was taken, ONLY AFTER I got up to ask if we could order. After 15 more minutes I had to go to the bar in order to get our drinks. It took an additional 45 minutes (1 hr total) until our food came out (2 of the 4 dishes we ordered) The next 2 dishes followed 5 minutes later. We were not given plates, napkins or utensils. Again I got up and took napkins and utensils from the bar. No plates. The waitress never came to check if we needed anything.
The food was all awful. The beef nachos were smothered in imitation nacho cheese sauce and the ground beef was under cooked (pink) and in very large chunks. The chicken quesadilla was nasty. Huge chunks of chicken with cheese between 2 soft tortillas. The perogies were ok, but the fries that came with it were both burnt and soggy. The fried pickle spears were cold and soggy. 2.5 hours plus later….not worth it

just opened a couple days ago and they did pretty good for as busy as they were. Food was good as usual. I got a cheeseburger on a kimmelweck roll…. Salt and caraway were only on about a1/3 of the roll, but it was a good burger. View of the lake is amazing. Couldn’t sit outside cuz of the rain, but we’ll be back!
7/06/23: stopped in for lunch. Boneless wings were good. Their wine selection was limited because of the holiday weekend, but we managed. Vicki, our waitress, was excellent! And of course the view was awesome!

Family of 4 enjoyed dinner on a Sunday night. Local recommended for their burgers. Seated ourselves outside on the deck to watch the sunset. Servers kind and professional. Ordered blue moon but was told they only have certain beers on tap. Bartender recommended one that was similar to blue moon and we were happy with the choice. Spouse ordered the steak sandwich. Kids had burgers and fries. I ordered the porky pigsburg. Meal was enjoyable but won’t order fries for picky kids. They did not like the hand cut version.

First time at LD’s on the Lake today did not disappoint! Though the atmosphere on this January day at the Lake was functional, our meals were very good. Chicken Speidie sandwich brought back collage memories from long ago, and garlic parm perogie basket was delicious.

My 2 old friends and I had a delicious lunch and ate right at the Lake Ontario shoreline. They have several nice round tables on the deck with umbrellas. It is so pleasant to eat on the deck. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was very tasty. But, the sweet potato fries were the real highlight. The best I’ve ever had.

Service was a bit slow but can’t fault them for that because they seemed short staffed. We were discounted for the longer wait, however even without the discount, it was well worth the wait. The chicken sandwich and burger we had were both juicy and delicious, and the wings were crispy. The house sauce and dry rub are definitely worth trying. They do chicken spiedie really well too, I’ve had the salad in the past and it was great. Staff were incredibly nice and the outdoor dining on the lake is great. Definitely will continue to come back.

I don’t do many reviews, but want to give anyone thinking about trying this place a true review.
The view is wonderful and the bartender was awesome! Our waitress never came to the table for 25 minutes. Just when my wife and I were about to call it quits the bartender came out to wait on us. He was HUSTLING and he was very nice. The food was terrible, basically bought a $12 cold chicken patty with a side of ice cold fries. My wife ordered a Turkey club, the bread was soggy, and there were 2 tiny pieces of bacon on it, she too had a side if ice cold fries.
Atleast 3 other tables were verbally upset with their meals at well. One guy even answered his phone from a buddy was going to meet him and he told him to run and go to Rudy’s instead.
Needless to say, we’ll never be back. To the bartender… keep at it young man! I hope this place appreciates you!

Phenomenal view of the lake with the outdoor dining area. Sunset was amazing. Wish we could say the same for the food and service. Appetizers and food came out all at the same time. Burgers were over cooked. French fries were cold. Had to go up to the bar tender to ask for refills on our drinks. Waitress was no where to be found.
