Came here for the live Jazz, which sadly they do not have anymore. But it’s okay! The host gave us a tour of the place, it’s really cool. Great vibes! We decided to stay and have some apple cider. It was YUMMY! I added caramel flavor to mine… so good.

This place has everything you can ask for as a New Yorker. Live music. Back yard. Wine list. Food. Good staff. Great lasangnia, caspacho and great italian desert.

Will come back again.

Just had drinks but the ambience is really great with classical music streamed and the wood paneling and free offer of snacks

Showed up here on a Sunday night without reservations. Was sat quickly and food was excellent. The guy who was scheduled for the 10:00 set couldn’t be there so a trio filled in. I’m glad they did, music was superb! Luca, our waiter, was one of the friendliest people we met during our trip and gave us plenty of inside tips about things to see and do. Forget the more famous jazz places in the area, this is the spot to be.

It is a really nice place. It was a great experience for us visiting NYC for a few days. We were lucky to find this restaurant in the basement of a busy corner. Small, but good to hear good jazz in a intimate manner. Good acoustic. Very efficient and friendly service. Two sets of good jazz for a very convenient cover. Clean and confortable. Would love to go again.

Excellent atmosphere and live music. The mulled wine was particularly enjoyable on a cold winter day! There’s no cover for the local artists, so if you get there before the first set you can still listen to wonderful jazz without paying extra.

Stuck overnight due to a flight cancellation. This was the best place to spend that night. Great music, drinks, and atmosphere. I’ll be back anytime I’m in the city. Highly recommend if anyone wants a personal and low key kind of night. Reminded me of some of the small jazz bars around New Orleans

Great place to enjoy jazz. Quiet, small and intimate affording wonderful experience of being close to the music. The staff is excellent, very non intrusive. The menu is actually pretty good for a jazz venue and not too overpriced. All in all, one of the best places to enjoy jazz in NYC

One of NYC’s best-kept secrets. Wonderful atmosphere: dim lighting, dark wood and low ceilings. They have jazz nightly, usually guitar trios. The music has been excellent every time I’ve been here. You can get food from La Lanterna, a high-end Italian restaurant next door. There’s no cover for the opening act; after that there’s a $12 cover and 1-drink minimum – pretty reasonable.
