The Wolf Den Bar & Grill – Reno, NV
What a gem! Nestled just a stone’s throw from J Resort, and the Downtown Riverwalk! The Wolf Den Bar & Grill instantly feels like the place to be. This stylish spot is a perfect combination of modern design and laid‑back charm, with a roomy indoor area with games like shuffle board, and a breezy outdoor patio that sets the tone for great nights—whether you’re here to catch a game, have a drink, or just unwind under the evening sky.
Now, let’s talk food and my favorite, burgers. These bad boys are the true stars of the menu: juicy patties topped with melted cheese, fresh toppings, and nestled in a soft, toasted bun. Crispy fries on the side round out a meal that’s hard to beat. Compliments to the chef! They also serve up some mouthwatering wings and other shareable apps like fried pickles and Brussel sports that are ideal for pre‑dinner snacking or pairing with happy hour drinks while you play giant connect 10 or watch a game.
The bar side is equally impressive. A well‑stocked lineup of local beers and handcrafted cocktails makes it easy to find the perfect drink—whether you’re in a laid‑back mood or looking to kick things up a notch. Drink specials keep the atmosphere lively, and the bartenders know just how to mix it up to complement your meal and mood.
What ties it all together is the service. Cheerful, attentive ownership and staff make every visit feel personal—drinks stay topped up, orders arrive hot, and the whole place buzzes with positive energy. It’s welcoming to visiting tourists, UNR students, locals, and anyone in between. Whether you’re hanging out post‑resort visit, fueling up before an evening out, or just grabbing a casual bite, The Wolf Den hits all the right notes. Go check it out—you’ll understand why this place is already one of Reno’s top destinations. More to come!

I visit for lunch and dinner to-go frequently. Nicola and Andrea are the best! Top tier customer service with the food tasting excellent every time! I’d consider myself a regular at this point, definitely check them out! They even have tria on Fridays if you need something fun to do. I highly recommend Wolf’s Den!

Love the aesthetics, love that they have pool table, darts and numerous other games. Kid friendly. Nachos were great and come out quick. Service is good. However, you can’t possibly call yourself a sports bar if you don’t even play major starting NFL games with over 12 or so tvs. I get if it’s not your team or a rival team, but not playing a game is probably why there was only 7 ppl here including our party of 3. We still had drinks and apps because we came here all the way from Cali for Hot August Nights and decided to hit up a sports bar to catch the game, but def had to go to another one because they were playing the game. If it wasn’t for that, we would have stayed to try more drinks and food. Just food for thought.
**I believe they tried looking for the channel, but said they didn’t have it.

I honestly don’t know how you could make a buffalo chicken sandwich better than the one I had here. From the crusty bread to the perfectly seasoned chicken, every bite was spot-on. The sandwich was massive, delicious, and came out fast. The price was surprisingly low for the size and quality, which just made it even better.
The service was friendly and quick, and the whole vibe of the place was relaxed. It’s tucked right downtown, so it’s an easy stop for lunch. I was shocked the place wasn’t packed when I went in because the food was that good.
If you’re in downtown Reno, I can’t recommend a better lunch spot than the Wolf Den. Don’t sleep on it—grab the buffalo chicken sandwich and thank me later.

Very friendly service, good food and really like the Indian/American fusion dishes like the Tikka Chicken Sandwich
This place is super popular and for a reason!
PS: Friday nights are trivia night!

I stopped in to have a burgar and a beer, and the service was aweful at best. The bartender hardly noticed me. I decided to give it a chance and ordered food, which is expensive for what you get, and it wasn’t worth it. The thing that got me the worst is the music they were playing was very vulgar with a lot of curse words in every song, and there were kids there. I couldn’t finish my meal because of the atmosphere and vulgar music and got it to go. Very Disappointed, will never go there again and never recommend it.

I called into Wolf Den this afternoon for a break away from the casino weekend, a bit of relaxation and food. What a nice laid back place, lovely staff, nice chat. I had a small Wolfpack pizza, which was substantially loaded with really tasty ingredients and the crust was perfectly doughy and crispy. It was just the ticket!

The Wolf Den is such a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed — the staff was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. You can tell they take pride in their service; everyone went out of their way to check on us, make sure our food was perfect, and that we were having a great time.
The food was so good! Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You could taste the care that went into every dish — nothing felt rushed or bland. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, you’ll walk out happy and full.
The vibe of the place ties it all together. It’s cozy but lively, with a fun, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay and hang out for a while. Between the amazing food, great service, and chill atmosphere, The Wolf Den easily became one of my favorite spots. I can’t wait to go back!

Absolute worst bar service. It’s so disappointing that these days bartenders act more like baristas. Here’s your drink. Thanks. Bye. There was nobody in the bar. I guess I know why now. I get a beer and the bartender disappears into the back the whole time. You know people go to bars to socialize? You can drink a $3 beer and watch sports at home. People go to bars to SOCIALIZE! If there are no customers, bartenders usually will chat w the customer. Talented bartenders get followings but not here. The art of bartenders has gone downhill. I swear some bartenders will go to a corner and sit on their phones with customers at the bar. Why don’t you just be a barista? Why do you bartend if you hate talking to customers? Seriously

The wolf den is a fun family oriented establishment, great place to bring the kids and have a bite to eat. A unique twist onto some of your favorite meals. Great for game day with tvs surrounding the inside. A must for those who haven’t been yet to enjoy the hot food and cold drinks.
