My initial stop was the Starbucks that was on the same shopping center as the place. I had a taste for soul food. As I walked in the restaurant, I received a warm welcome from the cashier and asked for the menu. The choices were very nice, given that mac and cheese is my favorite . I ordered the chicken with Mac and cheese with green beans (which I am happy that it’s made out of turkey instead of pork, which I am glad that there are more options).
I saw the banana pudding and was excited! I was recommended by the owner Greg to try since it’s their number one seller of dessert. He was very pleasant and I told him that I will try it. This was a pleasant experience and I didn’t get to finish everything because it was a lot, but my ratings are as follows:

I have patronized this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The owner and staff have always been friendly and professional. The dining area is always clean and condiment area is clean and fully stocked. My go to menu items are the Brisket, Old Bay Wings, Mac & Cheese and collards or green beans. I’ve tried the ribs and they tender and flavorful. I took my mom for the first time early this week and she finished her ribs & fish in the car before I could get her home. Because this is good ol’ comfort food I do not eat here often. But when I want a filling meal this is my go to! I would definitely recommend this establishment!

My experience was not great. My friend and I were told our food would be ready in 15min, we ended up waiting 30-40min for our orders not being correct. We both got the 9pc wings meal and that total ended up being $40. My friend said maybe we get whole wings (which we didn’t) She got old bay and I got honey old bay. It was overcooked and very salty. We both enjoyed the hush puppies. They ran out of ice supposedly & Arnold Palmer & they gave me the rest of what was left of the sweet tea. My cup wasn’t even full (I thought it was a joke). This place opened at 12 and we got there around opening so it definitely did not make any sense. I would not go back. I would not recommend this place.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! We went there tonight for the first time and are so mad that we did not happen upon them sooner. I believe it was the owner who helped us with our order. Superior customer service, friendly and accommodating. He explained everything on the menu being that this was our first time there. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac n cheese and the sweet potato fluff. Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend got the beef brisket sandwich, fried okra and collards. Being he’s from Georgia, he’s super picky in regards to any type of southern food. He’s currently licking the box trying to savor every morsel. We still have the banana pudding and peach cobbler to eat but I’m sure it will be just as amazing. We have already decided that we will be getting dinner there again tomorrow night. It is definitely going to become a weekly dinner choice. Please, go support this wonderful locally-owned business and enjoy amazing food, you will not be disappointed!

The food was tasty. Just don’t go here if you’re hungry. 1 rib and 2 pieces of catfish &2sides for 25 bucks. The rib barely had any meat on it as you see in the picture.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The food not so pleasant. I had the brisket sandwich, which was dry, not a lot of sauce and very plan. The jerk wings are not authentic but decent. The plain wings tasted like they were not from the pit but the fryer. Mac and cheese was meh. And sweet potato fluff was good. Pass on the peach cobbler if you’re from the south. Maybe at some butter or coriander. The soda selection was also great

Hands down the best Soul Food restaurant in town. The Lamb Lollipops are the bomb! The catfish fillets are amazing, the deserts the side dishes!!!….. I could go on and on about this place and the staff is so friendly and helpful!! Clean atmosphere, the games were on the tv’s, and the music was nice and soothing!! Just a great experience overall!! I’ll be back every week now that Ive found this spot! ❤️❤️❤️ LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
