The restaurant’s cleanliness was top-notch, and the décor was modern and inviting. The manager was particularly attentive, ensuring that everything met my expectations. Their politeness and willingness to answer questions were greatly appreciated.
The food – OH MY, it was AMAZING! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I had the spicy tuna roll and the salmon sashimi, both of which were outstanding. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

Wonderful sushi, great people. We had a huge group and they were able to accommodate us last minute, but the place is small so make a reservation.
Sushi was delicious and fresh.

The fish was fresh and delicious! The chunks of salmon served as sashimi were massive (almost 2 bites worth per chunk). The staff were incredibly attentive and we’ll definitely be back for more sushi dinners!

AMAZING!! I love this place so much and went here multiple times. You should start your meal with a miso soup and their sushis – you can’t go wrong! Everything in their menu is amazing. They also have the cutest decorations and environment. I love that they also automatically bring edamame to every table. The waiters are incredibly respectful. I can only say great things about this restaurant!! Thank you for such good service

This was some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. We ordered several of the Sushi Bar Special items and they were really creative and delicious. Everything has really interesting seasoning and flavor combinations. The Mix Sushi Set was huge (12 pieces of fish) with very large cuts and premium items like toro and uni. In general lots of uni options on the menu, so a great spot if you love uni. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality ingredients.

I and my daughter recently had the pleasure of dining at Kyushu Sushi in Pasadena, and it was an exceptional experience. Both of us ordered sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh—probably the best we’ve had in the area. The quality of the fish was top-notch, and it was clear that the chef takes great pride in what they serve. We also ordered a special dessert dish featuring three of our favorite treats, and it was a delightful ending to our meal—an unexpected surprise that truly elevated the experience. The level of professionalism from both the chef and the staff really stood out. The server was attentive, friendly, and provided great recommendations. Another plus is the restaurant’s convenient location with easy parking, making it hassle-free to get there. If you’re looking for an outstanding sushi experience in Pasadena, Kyushu Sushi is definitely the place to go!

We’ve eaten sushi all over the world, including several places in Japan. This experience came very close to what we encountered there. The fish here was unbelievably fresh. The wait staff (Jeremy) made excellent recommendations based on our likes/ dislikes. Very reasonably priced for the quality. We’re in town for Jazz Fest and HAD to come back for another try. 10* if I could

We’d have had to be stupid to enter an empty restaurant, wouldn’t we? It’s a cardinal rule, right?
Yes, but:
So, one of my daughters wanted to eat out in Pasadena. A sushi restaurant meets dietary requirements.
I looked at reviews, and this newly opened restaurant had good reviews.
But when we arrived it was empty and both girls wanted out. I was very nervous, admittedly.
Anyway, bloody excellent all round!
The sushi was absolutely superb. So fresh – melted in the mouth.
The rolls were also very tasty, and the servers delightful.
The restaurant soon filled up.
We all had a splendid evening, despite breaking a cardinal rule
If you’re in Pasadena and like great sushi, give it a try.
Thanks!
