Folks don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The building was here before I was born and I’m 61. Honey, you won’t find better seafood than this anywhere in Lynn Haven. The owner is very friendly and speaks to everyone that comes in. I thank him to this day for giving me the heads up on the Seafood Platter on their menu. I bought my son Isaac here for his 35th birthday. I wanted to order a seafood platter for (only $25) myself as well as one for Isaac. I love seafood platters and never had a problem eating all of the seafood on them. So when the owner told me that I would not be able to eat all of that food, I doubted him. He then said, “I tell you what. If you and your son can eat all of that food and want more, I will let you have whatever else you want on the menu for half price.” He was sure that my son (age 35) would not be able to eat all of that food.
He was right. Isaac had to ask for a doggie bag. We tried but we just couldn’t do it. Scallops, shrimp, fish, oysters and every last bit of it was fantastic. I could have taken my son to Red Lobster but I chose to bring him here because I wanted him to experience the finest tasting seafood this side of the bay. We sat our butts down on some raggedy benches but our tongue palette nor our belly never complained one bit.

Don’t let the appearance of the establishment fool you. We were really worried when we walked in but regardless we decided to dine here. Two of us had the boiled crawdad special and they loved it! I had the chicken tenders and they were great too. I loved that they offered non seafood dishes as well. The owner was very down to Earth, had a great sense of humor and provided awesome service. He is a very sweet and knowledge man. We came here from Iowa (very far away) and he shared with us some great info about the area. I am so thankful we stopped here and supported the local business. Thank you thank you!! 🙂

We went there last night. They had a special for all you can eat grouper (fried, grilled) and steamed shrimp for $16.99. My husband and I both got that. He got his grouper grilled and I got mine fried and they both tasted like they where freezer burned. Then on to the shrimp. They said it was steamed but it tasted and looked like it was boiled. All the seafood was bland and not good at all. The only good thing was the zydeco bread. I expected better for the price we paid. The service was okay until they started sending a small child who looked about 6 or 7 to check on us. Thus is not the first time I ate there but it will be the last.

My husband and I were staying in Lynn Haven for one night and wanted to find a good seafood restaurant that wasn’t too pricy but still had high quality food. I read the reviews for Crawdads and decided to give it a try. We ordered the Seafood platter for two. There was so much food that we could not eat it all and my husband is a BIG man! The food was delicious and the price was lower than most seafood restaurants in the area. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

We wondered if we should stop. It was small — just a hole in the wall. We weren’t sure if we wanted cajun — we just wanted fresh seafood. We asked the two couples that were leaving if it was good. They assured us it was.
We ordered a fried shrimp plate and a fish plate. It was amazing! The fish was perfectly cooked — fresh tasting with the perfect light, crunchy batter fried in fresh grease. The shrimp were just right — lightly battered, fresh from the grease, lightly seasoned and so many more than we could eat.

Crawdad’s does seafood right! The owner is very genuine with no frills. His food speaks for itself. I split the seafood sampler on his recommendation, and loved every bit. We also got some fried pickles, which were lovely. His sauces were not out of a box. His fries and his vegetables were not out of a box. Everything was deliciously homemade. Can’t wait to go again!

Can’t judge a book by its cover. Just like you can’t judge this place by what’s on the outside. Inside it’s all business. Good food business. And cheap also. We were the only people there and was served by the owner. Got the seafood platter which was wonderful. Couldn’t eat it all so had to take some of it back with us. This place kicks major butt. If I lived here, I’d come to this place all the time and be 50 pounds heavier.
This is one place you need to try if you are vacationing in Panama City and you like seafood.

We were completely surprised by this restaurant. It seemed to be a ‘mom & pop’ kinda place with their young son (middle/high school) doing the serving, but he was outstanding at the job!! The food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered a $25.99 special platter for 2 with shrimp, oysters, fish, crawfish (VERY SMALL but wrong season), bay scallops, fries & 2 sides. Don’t order the cole slaw but the cheese grits are awesome!
We ate like crazy that day at the restaurant and took home enough for another meal plus left overs!! We have told numerous people how wonderful it was!
