Morningside Soul Food Cafe makes the most delicious Salmon Croquet I have ever had. This is definitely a restaurant to bring family to for good soul food. They made a special Garlic Parmesan sauce for the deliciously tender, scrumptious bone-free Salmon Croquet. I highly recommend you support this black-owned business. As someone who loves to do charity in the Chandler Park community; one of the best ways to support overcoming poverty is supporting those who stand as role models and Morningsode Soul Food does just that which is why I’m happy to support them.

We contacted Morningside Cafe ahead of time to let them know our group was coming, and the owner was extremely kind and accommodating. The hospitality was consistent from start to finish.
The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was delicious, and my coffee was great.
Wonderful experience, definitely go visit!

This is a wonderful Eastside Detroit neighborhood spot for working, chatting and meeting space. Coffee x Vibes is definitely what you get. Boasts made-to-order coffee, tea, sandwiches & features local pastry and ready-made tea ☕️.

The coolest Coffee ☕️ Cafe on the eastside of Detroit. The vibe is awesome and the conversations are refreshing. I sat at the window with the sun shining in on this cold 17 degree morning. The apple fritter and coffee/cocoa blend was a hit!

Stopped by for a quick coffee and was so sad we couldn’t stay any longer. It was such a beautiful atmosphere and was clearly very intentional about the good vibes.
We had the opportunity to speak with the owner – he was so wonderful and kind.
The coffee is great, they have lots of options including alternative milks. It would be a good place to get some work done or hang with friends.
We parked on the neighboring street, so it was pretty convenient.
Would highly recommend!!

I enjoyed a strawberry mango smoothie and a bag of Lays chips. It was a nice quiet place with a conference room in the back. The owner was very warm and inviting. I would recommend this place. Its located near the Alger Theatre and across the street from Hammertime Hardware Store.

The front says “coffee and vibes” and totally delivers on both.
Jeffrey was kind, helpful, and made both an Americano and cappuccino that were delicious! Not to mention a strawberry streusel muffin that was a delight.
Oh! And awesome workspace in the back, too.

This cafe feels like a love letter to Detroit, further emphasized by the mural on the wall. I love the desserts, especially the cupcakes and the cookies. This is a great space for working or renting the meeting space in the back.

I happened upon this place on accident but my experience was great i got a French vanilla latte that was really good but I think it was missing the hazelnut which makes it a French vanilla latte and the morning side frappe could have been blended smoother but the person I got it for enjoyed it. The bacon and cheese croissant was ok it had something spicy on it and I wish I would’ve known because I don’t eat spicy food however that could have been my fault for not asking but everything was great and the service was even better and the cafe is beautiful
