This restaurant gets better every time I eat there! One of my new favorites.
Had the hot sauce from the kitchen and it was wicked hot, I took some home.
The Chilli Rellenos were quite good, as were the refried beans and guacamole.

Average small town restaurant. Service was quick, food was made to order and on the table in short time. Prices are fair with decent size portions. Will definitely eat there again.

My wife and I found this little gem while attending the Elmwood Strawberry Festival. Service was fast and our orders came to us very quickly. I am now diabetic so I passed on the rice that normally came with the steak and shrimp. The steak was a simple cut of beef done medium well. The shrimp were tender and not over cooked as they so easily can be. The star of my meal was the side of refried beans. Not just cooked and mashed beans and definitely not from a #10 can. They were house made, flavorful, seasoned properly, and thicker than restaurant beans tend to be. I appreciate this much attention paid to a side dish that is usually considered an afterthought. My wife’s taco salad (not the fiesta taco salad) was very good. If we are anywhere near Elmwood again we will go out of our way to visit Mi Ranchito again.

Up from Arkansas visiting family, my uncle and I had lunch here, I wasn’t impressed at all, portion was small, burrito was little like it came out of a tv dinner.

Ate here the other day and this sit down restaurant is in a remote town in Illinois, but I gotta say the food is authentic and memorable.
I got the monster burrito and it was filling and super tasty. They give you salsa and chips when you sit down and the salsa is bright and flavorful.
Also the price was awesome too.

The restaurant is totally themed Mexican food. We got taco, burrito and chalupa meals. All of the food was delicious will be a place we go back to.
