We drove all the way from Colorado for Bing King and I’d do it a million more times. The food was fresh, crunchy, and delicious in every way. The person working was super helpful too which I really appreciated since I wasn’t sure what to order. All around super good!

Not sure why anyone would complain about the price—the food here is absolutely worth it! My husband and I ordered the Nanjing Jianbing, half sweet and half savory, with optional add-ons of youtiao ($2) and pork belly ($5). From the very first bite, we couldn’t stop eating—it’s that good! The pork belly is flavorful without being greasy, the youtiao tastes just like the ones in China, and the egg is soft and delicious. Totally worth the one-hour drive. Highly recommended!

Been eating here for years, it’s always good. I get the #2 with wonton and an extra egg in the crepe. Sometimes I add protein, sometimes I don’t. I’m usually stuffed if I do add a protein and without is usually the perfect amount of food. The chicken fries are always a hit! If I go with a friend, I love splitting a bing and chicken fries. The staff is always really lovely as well. They’re great at explaining things if it’s your first time there too.

Its a food cart. Atmosphere is outdoors. Service decent. Food is amaze balls! Especially the wraps. Soft yet crispy popping with flavor too. I’ll totally go back even in the winter.

Amazing food! Generous portions! Jackson was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in guiding us to the perfect lunch on our first visit. The Chinese donut Youtiao in the wrap changed my life. The Szechuan peppercorn on the fries were on point! We will definitely be back and recommend this spot to everyone we know!

10/10 on flavor, execution, and value. First five and I will be back. I got the #2, savory, with Pork Belly. It’s a light, well-made egg wrap with lettuce, crunchy wonton, spring onion and cilantro.

Only Improvement would be for the guys to REALLY listen to customer’s order/preferences. Y’all got the spice-level wrong and forgot my drink but it was not a problem for me. Only wish both my food tiems weren’t so spicy.

Bing King is a true gem! I stop by every time I go downtown to grab a Bing. The flavor and texture are so unique, I definitely recommend getting the youtiao!

Bing King is probably partly responsible for rising housing costs in Eugene. 🙂 Who wouldn’t want to live here after having the #1 with pork belly? Fresh, unique flavors textures and freshness. Kind, enthusiastic service. I asked them to hook me up. A good move. I can’t wait to go back!

Update#2: Dropped the last star, for deleting their response, that showed their true colors and where they talked down to a customer. I won’t be going back.

Update: Dropped a star for trying to mansplain the restaurant industry to me…. which I work in. Also confirming that it costs $12 – $15, like I said, unless you want to be hungry again in 10 minutes.

Original: I’m torn, because the food is good, but not great, and the prices are quite high given the concept. The point of this food is that it is inexpensive and quick to make. I ate FAR TOO MUCH Jian Bing while I was living in China. I went to a few different vendors, depending on the part of town that I was in, that given morning. The most that I ever paid was ¥12, which is about $1.65. (My go-to spot was ¥9…. ¥5 if they had run out of chicken for the morning) That was a Jian Bing with YouTiao and chicken, mild spice, and sweet sauce. It cost me $15, here, for what I was paying $1 for. Mark up makes sense, because costs of salaries are higher, but after having the real thing, it sort of feels like I’m being ripped off. It is quality, and tastes quite close to how I liked it in China, but definitely not a regular option for me.

Bing King was fire. I asked if he could make it vegan and he was super chill about it. Left out the egg and it still slapped. Bean paste, fresh herbs, romaine, and that crispy wonton hit just right. While he was making it, we talked about how he brought this dish over from China and how he’s trying to share it out here. You can tell it means a lot to him. It’s different, it’s real, and honestly, the price makes sense for something this good and handmade.
