We went for dinner and had high expectations based on the reviews but left slightly disappointed. It wasn’t our first visit and we live Asian food, but unlike prior occasions the food was far from authentic. We had pork belly baos as starters that were good, but nothing special. Then duck in red curry and pad Thai. Both good but not great and not authentic Thai. The restaurant is beautiful and the service and attitude of the staff fantastic. So we would return for a night to have something different and to be treated so well, but if you are looking for authentic Thai you won’t find it there. You will enjoy yourselves though, so worth a try.

Beautiful restaurant with *impeccable* service. Our server, Ricardo, was extremely helpful, attentive, and professional. We really enjoyed our dinner experience! We were especially delighted by the surprise anniversary dessert they brought us, it was so thoughtful and beautiful!

Enjoyed drinks this evening at Spice Market before dinner. Brandon was our server and was both friendly and attentive. The sunset view from the rooftop terrace was beautiful! If you are visiting San Miguel soon, I’d highly recommend stopping in for a visit!
The Cucumber Smash and Ginger Margarita were both 5 ⭐️!

As someone who has experienced a wide range of Asian cuisine, it pains me to write this review. I was thoroughly disappointed by my recent visit to the so-called Asian restaurant in such a prestigious 5-star hotel. Despite the waiter’s clarification that this simply an “Asian-inspired” restaurant, the culinary experience fell drastically short of even the most basic expectations.

Firstly, the fundamental aspect of any Asian meal, the rice, was a already a letdown. It was mushy and oddly flavored with spices that are alien to Asian cuisine, a feat in itself given the simplicity of traditional Asian rice. Moving on to the main courses, the Sweet and Sour Pork was a far cry from what it should be. A strange fruity taste was overwhelming, with no resemblance to the authentic Asian sweet and sour flavor profile.

The Mee Goreng was another disappointment. Over-salted, excessively watery, and lacking key ingredients such as egg, it had simply no resemblance to the authentic Indonesian dish. The inclusion of rice noodles was its only connection to the original, but drowned in an unidentifiable black sauce, it was unrecognizable.

Furthermore, the Mapo Tofu was a disaster. Missing both the tofu and the signature Mapo sauce, what was served was undercooked vegetables in dark soy sauce with an an abundance of raw bean sprouts – ingredients never found in traditional Mapo Tofu.

The Pad Thai, much like the other dishes, strayed far from its Thai roots. Overly salty, with rice noodles and an unidentified grainy sauce, it lacked the balance and flavor that Thai cuisine is celebrated for.

The only redeeming feature of this establishment is its stylish decor, which, unfortunately, doesn’t compensate for the lackluster and inauthentic food. It’s disheartening to see such poorly executed dishes in a top-tier 5-star hotel. Perhaps a new chef is to blame, but one would expect a hotel of this caliber to ensure their chefs are adequately trained in the cuisines they’re serving. This was not just unauthentic but largely inedible – a real disappointment for anyone seeking an Asian culinary experience.

Spectacular service from all staff, including Georgina and Maciel. Kid-friendly staff who helped my five-year-old with a bandage and blanket. The staff also provided an incredible off-menu dessert for our anniversary. Vegetarian food is also strong–flavorful, healthy, and interesting.

This place was serene. My fiancé and I came here for our last night out. We had the steamed pork buns, crispy sushi, and the braised pork rib. We also had the lychee drinks. Everything including the service was world class. I’m amazed there aren’t more 5 star reviews of this spot. Don’t miss the steamed buns, they are recommended for good reason.

Just had a great brunch experience at Live Aqua’s Asian-themed restaurant “Spice Market”. We were looked after by Georgina, who was super-friendly and very efficient. As with any hotel-restaurant, it’s a little expensive, but this is a truly beautiful hotel and a great dining venue. Worth a visit.
