Stopped on Friday afternoon on the way to TN. Cool spot, pull through parking lot for anyone hauling a trailer. Bought $100 of the Honey Glazed and Cajun Salmon jerky and some Hot n Spicy beef to take home to TN. Barely any was left after the car ride. Fantastic product.

Decided to stop here because of the reviews. The left wing individuals giving bad reviews for being made fun of wearing masks during covid or just being uncomfortable because he is very political. Let me tell you this place was everything I had hoped for it’s a collection of shed’s on the side of the highway. One he seemed to live in and one was the business. We arrived and entered the jerky shed and Bruce came over from the house shed. The decor of the jerky shed was hysterical. Everything you would expect for a older conservative man that smokes fish and makes jerky in his backyard. You better have a decent job because quality jerky and fish comes at a steep price. But the experience was so worth the money. Highly recommend visiting and supporting Bruces roadside attraction.

Felt incredibly uncomfortable here- As a leftist I know what I’m getting into when I go camping in these areas and I’m happy to keep it cordial.. but the Trump/anti Obama propaganda was way too much. It was literally Trump themed. I am very obviously more liberal in my appearance and the guy could tell. I appreciate that he stayed civil but I could tell he didn’t really want to engage with me while he was perfectly chatty with the people before me. I am super anti-Trump but I’m willing to respect others who are willing to do the same.. the decor in this place was off the charts disrespectful. There’s no need to make your business aggressively political and make anyone who doesn’t share your values feel unsafe. I wouldn’t have even supported it but unfortunately I didn’t have other options nearby.

All of that being said, the whitefish spread absolutely sucked and I paid $10 for it. The smoked salmon was good, but definitely

not good enough to justify the price.

I wish I had tried the cajun spiced salmon jerky right away. I would have bought several times more of just that. It was so delicious. I dont get that far north very often and now anytime I go thatvway I am bringing a cooler just for the salmon jerky.

Please make sure to stop in, it looks small but, the selection is fantastic. The smoked/candied salmon melts in your mouth and I LOVE the turkey jerky. Help out small businesses when you can.

Loved this as a kid. Stopped today for first time in 30 years. Same great food. Business was in quite the rush as he had other things to do and was rather pushy. Like give me a minute to look around and I prob would have bought more.

I have been trying smoked white fish all over the state from 906 to below the bridge. Places that used to be my go to store no longer have that authentic taste.
But I have found it here at Bruce’s once again. My suggestion is stay away from the commercialized fishery.. go with the small stores..
