My wife and I have been here twice, and it is just outstanding. Both times I’ve had the shrimp and grits, and it tastest like Charleston! We were delighted with each course. She loved her hamburger on our first visit much more than enchilada on the second visit (I agree with her that she does a better job with enchiladas at home, and tortillas that are not homemade are almost always disappointing).
The appetizer and dessert (which we rarely order) were both real delight and truly well done.

The Bourbon Gospel was suggested to us by family and the whole experience was amazing! We attended a singers/songwriter night which was like a live podcast. The music was fantastic and the evening was warm enough to sit on the back patio which was intimate and rustic at the same time. Tucker, our waiter, had great food and drink suggestions. Everything we tried was delicious beginning with the deviled egg sampler and especially the shrimp and grits. The drinks were fun and tasty as well.

Amazing food. Think elevated bar food. Fabulous cocktails mixed perfectly. The atmosphere, vibes, and service were fantastic. Our server had great recommendations and was so helpful. We got the burrata, the burger, the steak, and the almond cake. Drinks were Dolly’s Bathwater, The Gospel Truth, and the Balletine Old Fashioned, and they were all great. Would highly recommend all and everything we got. The bar area is intimate with low lighting, which was great for us. We didn’t even make it to see the patio area or upstairs but could hear the live music. And then the check was brought in an old church hymnal! We loved it! Can’t wait to go back!

One of the best restaurants I’ve gone to so far! It’s small and quaint but it’s up there with places like Cork n Cow, Red Pony and maybe even Kayne Prime. This gem in downtown Columbia, Tn has such an amazing vibe and it was the perfect place to take my daughter Bella to celebrate her 21st birthday before going out dancing. What an amazing dinner and experience! The food was delicious and service was amazing! Tucker our server was so fun and he genuinely cared and celebrated with us to the point he had the whole restaurant singing Happy Birthday to my daughter. A huge thank you to everyone at The Bourbon Gospel! We will definitely be coming back and referring all of our friends and family.

My husband and I tried The Bourbon Gospel for our anniversary dinner tonight. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this little gem of a spot. The staff is so personable and made us feel so welcome.
The food was fantastic. It was one of the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever tasted.
Columbia has a hidden treasure with this spot.

I can’t say enough about this food haven! I found it randomly to celebrate my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by all the aesthetics this restaurant offered. From the service, food, drinks, atmosphere and the hospitality, I was impressed by all the details. 5 stars is an understatement. Presentation of each menu item is top notch.

First time! Absolutely incredible experience my son lives in Columbia TN (I’m from Illinois) he made a reservation for us to experience the song writers tonight with dinner. I honestly do not have words to express how touched I was by this place. The music was incredible, the food was top notch, and the drinks were fabulous! Highly recommend!

If more stars were available, they would have them all! It was girl’s night out for cocktails and dinner – and what a treat! The deviled eggs were amazing with four varieties plus the Burger, Brisket, Shrimp and Grits- all beyond expectations! Atmosphere on the patio with all the beautiful flowers was perfect. Worth your trip to Columbia.. besides all the incredible plans as THE place for singer-songwriters, and everyone wanting to enjoy a special night out. The special check presentation was cool too!

Very charming restaurant with a friendly and welcoming staff. Everything about this place was amazing. The food is simply delectable with many interesting options it made it difficult to choose what to eat for dinner. We started with the flight of deviled eggs recommended by our friendly and sweet waitress, Kate. We settled on tacos and burger for dinner. The melt in your mouth burger had a little sweetness and spiciness that made it an incredible meal. The tacos were just spicy enough and we’re amazing. We finished with Almond Brothers for dessert – creamy, not too sweet but delicious flavors.
