Rude staff, long wait, mediocre poke. When Poke City first opened, they offered half off all items. The deal was too good to pass up, but even at half off, it’s not worth it. The fish is an odd texture and comes in huge cubes too large to eat with chopsticks. I hadn’t been back since, but received a fivestars coupon by text and decided to give it another try. I waited in line for 20 minutes and finally was ready to check out when they told me they wouldn’t honor the coupon because their phone line was down. I gave them the option of honoring the coupon or throwing away the food and they tossed it. They were very rude, offering not so much as an apology. Much better options at Poke 303 (short line) and Poke World (order online & don’t wait in a line at all) just a block or 2 away.

This place is amazing! You choose your ingredients to build your bowl, and each bowl comes with miso soup and a Rice Krispy Treat! Ingredients were fresh and well-presented, though the octopus was a bit overcooked for my taste. Glad to have healthy, quick, fresh options on 16th Street Mall!

I love this place! The Poke bowls are so good and there is a wide variety of ingredients to add. The staff has always been super nice and helpful. I also love the little bowl of miso soup they give with every order. It can get a bit busy at times but I feel like the line moves pretty quickly regardless. I recommend adding the furikake (rice seasoning) during step one; it’s SO GOOD!

Lots of options here, which is great for coming with coworkers, friends, or even alone. The fish is always top quality and delicious. I’ve always had good experiences with the people on the other side of the counter. Bowls include miso soup and a little after meal treat. The attention to detail and extras makes this place outshine other options. Also the decorations inside are pretty cool.

Such a shame that this place was amazing when it first opened; now it’s a disappointment. The fish used to taste really fresh, the staff were friendly and smiled and the food was delicious, but sadly it hasn’t been that good in a while (and staff seem like they’d rather be doing anything else rather than serving you).

My husband and I both had upset stomachs on separate occasions the last couple of times we ate here after noticing the fish wasn’t tasting good, so I don’t think we’ll be back. $14+ for a small bowl really isn’t worth it anymore!

Better environment than poke world on the next block, but not quite as many options. I still like this place better though. It can get really slow at peak lunch times. If you’re going with someone, get a large and share. The rice can be a lot, so if you want to make it healthier get half rice and half salad greens. Much lighter and easier to finish.

I’ve gone here a few times over lunch and absolutely love it! It’s so delicious and fresh. Also, the staff is beyond friendly and helpful with everything on the menu. One good thing about this place is they have two lines so the lines don’t get so backed up with people and then it funnels into one checkout point which really helps!Be sure to get two scoops of the fish because it’s just that good! I’m obsessed!

Hands down the favorite Poke spot in downtown Denver for lunch. This place gets busy during the lunch crowd, but the staff is always well stocked, and well prepared to get you through the lunch rush fast!

Love the quality of the fish at this place and that they have some outdoor seating in the summer as well.

First time coming here, it was the half off bowls. Food was so good I returned once the deal finished. The tattooed buff guy who served me the second time was RUDE. He’s short with customers and avoids conversation. Maybe he had a bad day? Third and fourth time going there, same guy – same funky attitude. I won’t be returning simply due to his service.

There are better places in this area. I was excited to try this place because I hadn’t before, but am sad to say I was a bit disappointed. Grumpy staff and the food was just okay, fish wasn’t very fresh for a poke place. Not the worst, but definitely not my favorite. Lots of better options nearby.
