If you’re anywhere near Kindred, you have to stop by Uptown Eatery. This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming, small-town atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

I am not usually much of a breakfast person, but I had zero complaints with their breakfast buffet. I do not care much for eggs but I was absolutely delighted to see there were plenty of other options aside from just a plate full of sausage. One of my friends is a vegetarian and our entire table of 5 people were all well beyond satisfied. I loved that they had cottage cheese, most of our table was hyped on the yogurt options too. I personally loved that they had some hot sauce available, that literally and figuratively, spiced everything up for me. We would definitely, and likely will, go again despite it being a fair amount out of the way for us.
The service is good and everyone is very friendly. Everything was prompt and very enjoyable.
On my second visit I arrived about 20 minutes before they start serving lunch. While seating me they said the kitchen was fine with making anything from the lunch menu even though it was early. Great service!

Kindred spirits in Kindred, who are very kind is what you’ll find in the Uptown Eatery.
The carb lovers breakfast was great. Eggs scrambled just right, ham thick and tasty and the waffles were delicious. I like that the syrup came in glass pouring container, not individual servings in little plastic containers like has become the norm elsewhere.
Great take away hand made treats, too.

Had one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite a while. Highly recommed the Viking burger! My husband had the special, a Korean rice bowl, I think, and was impressed. Very pleasant waitress. Quite prompt wait time. Really liked the atmosphere, much more family-friendly than a lot of the bar/grills in the area. Will visit again!

Biscuits and gravy (with extra gravy). Perfect. It was perfect. Drizzling some of their homemade sriracha on it was the finishing touch. I sincerely appreciated Morning Glory, but the atmosphere and the coffee have both significantly improved and I cannot wait to try more things on the menu—if I can ever not order the biscuits and gravy. I am so thankful for this place and will be back frequently.

Smoker night buffet was definitely worth it! Great array of sides/salads, especially the fried pickle salad. The meats very all good, especially the chicken and the pork. Mini cheesecakes were the perfect size and a great way to end the meal. Oh, and the housemade sauces were exceptional!

Thanks for the best experience that I’ve had for breakfast in the Fargo area. Tried 2 others who claimed to have the best breakfast in Fargo before I found you. They say 3rd time’s a charm…Uptown Eatery in Kindred definitely a hidden gem. Thank you so much for good hospitality and great food.
