My 3 year old daughter had her birthday party here! It was perfect! The kids had a blast! The adults had so much fun too! The party room was perfect for kids to sit down, eat, and do presents. They had the best time playing with the toys! The staff were so accommodating and the atmosphere is the best for a birthday! I would highly recommend and would do it all over again! My daughter LOVED it!

Went in for their free coffee promotion and got a delicious iced latte! Quite busy when I went but not surprising for the special deal! Definitely focused on kids and families but coffee very good and they had lots of fun seasonal offers!

I cannot say enough amazing things about The Mingo Play and Cafe! It is truly the best place for any mom with kids! Especially postpartum moms who just need a safe, welcoming place to get out of the house and feel supported!
The coffee tastes better than any coffee shop I’ve ever been to — seriously! It’s such a treat to enjoy high-quality coffee while your little ones play happily.
The play area is incredible. It’s clean, thoughtfully set up, and feels very safe. The workers do such a great job staying on top of everything! They were constantly cleaning toys and keeping the space tidy. I especially love that they have a “yuck bucket” for toys that get dirty so they can be properly clean them.
I highly recommend this place to any mom looking for a safe, clean, and genuinely enjoyable spot to spend time with her kids. It’s truly a gem!

I took my four year old and 13 year old here for the first time today. I already knew my oldest wouldn’t be able to play as she’s too big, which was cool with her. She only came for the snacks and coffee and a little time away from her brother. My youngest had a blast. It was absolute chaos when we first arrived for our reserved time slot (11 am). Not a huge deal, it’s a small space with up to 25 children at a time. There was a staff member walking around cleaning up toys and putting play areas back together. There are plenty of benches around the play space for parents to sit. I chose to give my son the freedom of independence and I sat at the bar area where I could see him the whole time. Did I have to take my shoes off to step in during his disputes? Absolutely. Grippy socks are key here. I bought him a pair and should have for myself, so that’s a lesson learned. Next time I can bring his grippy socks and get myself some. My daughter sat at a table by the window to give other parents the chairs at the bar. I like that they have a small cafe area not in view of the children. It’s blocked by the cafe itself. This area gives parents a chance to calm their littles down away from their peers. It’s also nice for childless people to come grab a quick bite to eat and a coffee without having a staring contest with a two year old. That being said, parental supervision is a must, especially for little ones. Yes there is a toddler area gated off, but the bigger littles want to venture in sometimes. And then the little littles get out. There’s also plenty of signage saying no food or drinks in the play area but that doesn’t seem to stop anyone. I get it, parents need to eat too, and the child doesn’t want to step out of the play area, but the no food rules keeps the crumbs down in the play area. Standing in the play area holding your sandwich over the gate into the cafe doesn’t count and you’re blocking everyone from coming and going. The coffee and food was great. $12 for two hours of play is affordable.

We had my son’s birthday party at the Pink Flamingo Play Café, and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, the experience was effortless…all I had to do was show up. The kids had an absolute blast and didn’t want to leave, and the parents got to relax and enjoy some yummy drinks.
The space itself is adorable! So thoughtfully designed, clean, and perfect for both play and celebration. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and just perfect for a private party. I would recommend this place over and over again. Truly a gem and a must-book spot for birthdays for the kiddos!

The pink flamingo is such a great place for kids. I bring my niece there all the time, it is great to have a place to sit and work while I watch her. More tables in the actual play area would be great, but I know there’s not a lot of room because of all the fun things to play with! My niece just doesn’t let me sit in the actual coffee shop area because she wants to show me everything.
This is a fun and affordable play place where you can meet new people in the same walk of life as you, and your kid can have a blast.

The pink flamingo play cafe is a fun place for kids. My kids 7 & 4 had a lot of fun. This was our first time visiting. If we lived closer we would visit more often. I love the idea & wish we had one in Roanoke!

My son had a great time! He visited a few months back and I was so impressed with the staff and the amount of different play areas for my child. Although my son is still heavily an attached mamas boy, he did great with exploring the different play areas and this play cafe helped him gain a little more confidence as it comes to playing with children and independent play! Thanks to the mingo for your amazing space!

The staff are awesome. The variety of areas and toys to play with are really nice but my only complaint would be the slippery wooden floors. Even with grippy socks littles still slip and fall… Maybe more mats!? Just a precaution for other with under 2 going to play.
