This was my first time ordering from Pollos Kiky, and unfortunately it turned into a very frustrating and concerning experience.
I ordered pollo a la brasa through DoorDash. The driver waited nearly 40 minutes at the restaurant before leaving. After almost an hour total wait time, I called to understand the delay.
I was informed that pollo a la brasa was no longer available, even though it was still listed on DoorDash. I was told to cancel the order myself, which was not possible in the app. I accepted pollo broaster instead because I had already waited so long.
I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager was “out of town on business” and that no one else could make decisions.
I politely requested some form of accommodation due to the inconvenience. I was told that was impossible.
What troubled me even more was this: the employee who spoke with me asked me not to mention him/her in any review because he/she was afraid of losing his/her job.
That statement alone was deeply concerning. No employee should feel afraid for simply communicating with a customer.
When the order finally arrived:
• I received two broaster orders without explanation.
• No black beans were included.
• No sauces at all — no mayo, ketchup, mustard, chimichurri, or green sauce.
• I ordered Inca Kola and received Fanta.
• The arroz chaufa lacked flavor and resembled plain white rice with minimal garnish.
• The chicken had no depth of seasoning.
No one communicated that they were sending additional food. It felt rushed and careless rather than intentional service recovery.
The food issues were disappointing. But the lack of communication and the apparent fear within the staff were far more concerning.
I hope management takes this seriously.
This experience ruined my dinner and left me feeling frustrated and disrespected as a customer.
Pollos Kiki seriously needs to improve its communication, customer service, and accountability.
Peruvian cuisine deserves better representation than this.
I will not be ordering again.
I placed one order for crispy chicken and one order was for rotisserie chicken. You would’ve thought I was asking for something bizarre because I had to repeat my order and correct her numerous times.
My husband went to pick up the order and they only gave him one meal.
When I called to let them know what happened they kept giving me the run around and never got my money or food. $35 that they keep because of bad business.
Not a very well managed business and the food was okay at most.
I ordered 1/2 ck breast meal
The chicken was tasty not salty the way i like it, also comes with rice was sooooo delicious, they also have black beans too and maduro banana I Loved it! Not too over ripe just right same as the sweetness not too sweet.
Came back today Saturday with my son ordered the Whole Family Meal Ck soooooo delicious!
Over All the food was Excellent!
Love the their flan not too sweet just right
