The Mango Tree is an outstanding spot for Indian food! Everything is always fresh, consistent and absolutely delicious! Being an L.A native I can easily say this place is one of the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to! We’re lucky to have it here in the valley!

We felt like having Indian food and I remembered that this place now exists and we hadn’t tried it yet. When we got there we were greeted well and took a little bit to figure out the menu. The menu was a little difficult to figure out what a typical meal was like. I referred to photos that others took to help me figure it out. We got the chicken curry and the lamb chops. We also got the Mango Lassi. The chicken was good, the sauce was very good and we got the level 3 spice, which I felt like was perfect. The lamb was excellent. It was tender and tasted great. The cohesion of the lamb dish was nice because it came with rice, a salad (which was tasty because it had a seasoning on it) on a plate together. The chicken came with rice and flat bread, but these were all given in separate dishes and we were given plates to combine the rice and chicken and flat bread and eat it in a more traditional way I am guessing. It just doesn’t make sense to me to serve the lamb one way and the others the other way, but that’s just me. I can see it being useful if we both got something from the bowl section. The mango drink was great and the service was good. The food took a while to get out, especially considering we were the only table there at the time. I can see how this might be a much longer wait if it was super busy. Overall though, I am glad we have an Indian restaurant in town now and we will be back. I hope the inside gets adjusted to look less like Tapped and more Indian maybe.

Hey, so I have a pretty discerning palette. And I had a question about my meal. And after doing a little bit of investigating, I realized that we need to keep in mind that while the recipes are the same.Every chef has their own specialty, and things don’t always come out a hundred percent.Identical, let’s face it.This is fine cuisine and not mickey.D’s. The staff is always polite in the manager.Alex goes far far above board to make sure people are as happy as they can be.I highly recommend this venue

The food here is amazing! We have been in 3 times since they opened. The food is great!
The service leaves a lot to be desired. It seems like the staff have not been trained properly. Once you have been sat and given menus, the server does not show up to greet you for 10-15 minutes. Once the server finally makes an appearance, you better be ready to place your entire order, or they will disappear again for a long time. From our experiences, the food comes out in an appropriate amount of time once your order is in. After you receive your food, the server does not come back to check on you, refill drinks and they never make eye contact. We usually wait another 10-15 minutes from finishing our food to getting our bill. If this Mango Tree location could drastically change their service, it would be exceptional. We have been in when there were 5 tables filled and also when there were around 15 or more tables filled. Service was never better either way.

Excellent Indian food!

Came here to check it out a couple weeks ago. I was excited to try it since there aren’t really any options closer than Moscow for Indian food.

First things first, the food is excellent! Decent portions, great flavors. Try the Indian coffee, it’s very good.

However, service could be a bit better. I think they may still be figuring things out here. It was a bit slow and people seemed hectic/hurried. Not terrible, but I’ve definitely had better service.

The location is a cool space. It is a little interesting as it’s a former taphouse, very different for an Indian place. But don’t let that throw you off the quality of the food.

I will be back, I just hope they smooth things out with their service.

Update: came back to visit and things have markedly improved as far as service. The food is still very good and it seems that they’ve ironed out some of the issues I noticed in my first visit. Definitely worth a visit!

LOVED this place. Everything was so delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. I’ve had Indian food in a few different countries and this was one of the best. I can’t wait to go back.

I got the jalfrezi bowl & loved it. However, my wife was very meh with her order & step daughter said it was ok. The location is a former bar/tavern & the restaurant has that same industrial modern feel. The floor is concrete. If you like that, then this is a good place for you. We were seated near the front & every time the door opened, we’d get an arctic blast. Of course we went when it was about 25 degrees outside, which the restaurant had a cold feel inside, accentuated by the industrial motif.

Stopped in for an early dinner with my family and was incredibly impressed! We were visiting Lewiston from a small town two hours away that doesn’t have Indian food, so finding this place was a real treat. We shared the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Tandoori, and the food was absolutely delicious across the board. They also had a great selection of beer on tap and the football games on TV—a perfect dinner spot. If you’re looking for fantastic Indian food, you won’t be disappointed!

The food was delicious. I tried several different curry options and the butter chicken and coconut were my favorite. The entire meal was good. It is a little pricey. The young waitress was not very good. I had to ask for more a refill, and for my kids desert.
