We ordered four dishes in total. Overall, the food was decent, but I wouldn’t say this place has a very distinctive or standout specialty compared to other Thai restaurants. That said, the portion sizes were quite generous, and for this area, it’s a solid and reliable Thai dining option.
One downside was the Pad See Ew — the noodles felt slightly undercooked, and although we ordered it spicy, it turned out to be much spicier than expected. The other dishes were generally fine. The BBQ items were okay in flavor, but the meat could have been more tender.
Overall, it’s a good neighborhood Thai restaurant with a nice atmosphere and generous portions. A decent choice if you’re craving Thai food in the area.
I had the lunch special Pad Kha Pow. Happy to say that the food tasted good. The tofu was nice and crispy, but would have liked a different sauce with it. Will need to try the bbq chicken or any of the other staple Thai dishes next time.
Plenty of parking and note that this place is not on the main street. Look forward to stop by again soon.
I usually order my go-to to test out a Thai restaurant, so I ordered the pork pad see ew ($14.95) and mild golden curry with chicken ($14.95). I would’ve ordered a fried rice, but the mild papaya salad ($13.95) caught my attention instead. Note that the dishes come with your choice of chicken, pork, or tofu included in the price, but if you want beef, it’ll be an extra dollar, and for shrimp, an extra $2. What was surprising was that the curry doesn’t come with white rice. You’d have to fork out an extra $2.50 for that. I thought everything tasted great, though both the papaya salad and pad see ew was a little heavy on the sauce.
My friend ordered mango sticky rice ($12.99) for dessert and I was surprised and happy they had that available (I went to another Thai restaurant during Christmas time and while they had the mango sticky rice on the menu, they said it was not in season so they weren’t selling any). I took a few bites of it and enjoyed it — not too sweet and not too heavy! Don’t forget to check-in on Yelp for a free Thai tea.
Service was pretty good! There’s plenty of space inside for small and large groups. Plentiful parking too in the parking lot.
The menu offers a great variety of dishes, including plenty of vegetarian options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of classic Thai curries, fresh salads, or flavorful stir-fries, you’ll find it all here.
The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a meal out with family and friends, this restaurant is a fantastic choice.
Instead of a lunch special, I opted for a full meal and had plenty of leftovers. The Pad See You was excellent with chunks of chicken and flavorful. I also opted for the Beef Satay appetizer. However the portion was huge and dinner size at $15. I spent more than I wanted for lunch but had a second meal. Now that I’m closer to Mt Sac during lunch, I’m exploring all the options that busy Diamond Bar has to offer.
Skip the ice water and get the green iced tea. Yum.
We ordered and enjoyed all below:
BBQ short rib platter: this was well seasoned short ribs, that comes with a side of salad, rice with cooked shrimp on top, Thai dipping sauce and a drink of your choice.
Mussel de coco: this is a green muscle dish doused in savory sweet green curry sauce. It was perfect cooked and I practically finished it by myself. I took the remaining sauce home to eat with white rice.
Massaman curry with chicken: so savory but a hint of the coconut milk sweetness. I loved it. The cashew nuts were a nice touch of nutty flavor town. My favorite dish here.
Thai titanic soup: loaded with seafood (crab, scallop, squid, fish &shrimp), with that Tom yum like broth. Super comforting to eat in the cold winter
The staff was excellent and very attentive although we came in a rush hour. They made sure we were not neglected. Can’t wait to come back and try other things!
We came in an hour before they closed one Saturday night. We were seated right away and throughout our late dinner, the waitress was very polite and attentive. 5 Star for Her..!
We ordered their Beef Panang Curry and their Pad Kra Pow. I do recommend both, because they were really good.
