Welcome to Kin-D (pronounced kin-dee)—a name that carries more than just flavor. In Thai, “kin” means to eat, and “dee” means well. Together, Kin-D reflects our philosophy: eat well, live kindly. It’s also a playful nod to the English word “kind”, capturing the warmth and hospitality at the heart of Thai culture. At Kin-D, we celebrate the full spectrum of Thai cuisine—from the distinct regional specialties of Thailand’s four culinary regions to the familiar everyday dishes loved by locals. We also serve classic Thai comfort foods—the kind you’d find in homes, markets, and lunch stalls across Thailand. Whether you’re a seasoned Thai food lover or just beginning your journey, Kin-D offers something for every palate. Kin-D: Eat well. Be kind

Kitchen. The service was phenomenal from start to finish; our server was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Even the manager stopped by to greet us and make sure everything was perfect, which really showed their attention to hospitality.
The cocktails were delicious and refreshing! They mentioned they’re still testing out the cocktail menu, so every visit might offer something a little different, but honestly that’s exciting because it means it can only get better from here.
We started with the sampler appetizer, which was spot on cause everything was crisp and flavorful, and the shrimp donuts were such a pleasant surprise, I wasn’t expecting to love them as much as I did! I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, which was pretty good, but my partner’s egg blanket Pad Thai with chicken completely stole the show. It was amazing and definitely something I’d recommend to anyone dining here.
Overall, Kin-D Thai Kitchen delivered a great first impression with excellent service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and see how this place continues to grow!
The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and everything came out hot and well-seasoned. You can really taste the care they put into every dish. I’ll absolutely be back; this might be my new go-to Thai spot in Richmond!
The chicken in the khao soi was fall-off-the-bone tender, the soup was velvety, rich, and full of flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. It’s crazy how perfectly everything hit the spot.
The place is fairly new, but the team already runs it so well. Bella made us feel completely comfortable and taken care of from the moment we walked in. The interiors were cozy with a festive, Christmasy vibe — just a perfect atmosphere for a warm Thai lunch.
The drinks are super nice surprise with a mixture of classic cocktails with a nice touch of different flavors (be aware, the Tum Yum kick is really good but only if you have higher tolerance of spicy like me lol), I also got “My Thai Fire”.
Food is awesome (the KuaKling is a bit spicy, perfect for me again) and the chicken satay appetizer is another chef kiss. My husband ordered seafood fried rice and he says it’s also really good.
Definitely will revisit, and staffs are super nice.
(Visit on a Friday night for reference)
I had the garlic stir fry with beef and a cheesecake for dessert (cheesecake not pictured because I ate it too fast!)
My server, Michael, was great. He was attentive without being overbearing and made sure my experience was a good one. I’ll be back!
Beyond the food, the decor is absolutely mesmerizing. Such a great ambiance to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
