Chef Jai and his team were so great to work with for my daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday party. He’s super nice and professional. I’m so appreciative to him for working with my limited budget! The space was just right for us with plenty of room for dancing and games. And the best part—the food, all of it was seasoned to perfection. We had buffalo and regular boneless chicken, sliders, Mac-n-cheese, baked beans, fries, lemonade and tea. My daughter and her friends had a blast! Soul Rock Cafe is a 10/10 – would recommend.

Wow!! Long time since I have had GOOD soul food in the ‘Boro that is not cafeteria style. Made to order—hot and fresh. Very nice vibe of music of R&B with some ol’ school soul. Employees are nice and interactive. The interior and exterior sleek and stylish. The fried chicken and candied yams!!!! So amazing!!! My son destroyed the waffle. My husband loved the whiting fish sandwich. Nothing was left!!

The food here is amazing. This place has the best soul food I have eaten in the Murfreesboro area. Chef Jai was so friendly and accommodating. My friend and I went there for dinner and we’re not disappointed at all. My friend doesn’t like hot water cornbread but as I was eating mine she asked for some and the rest is history!!!! She loved it so much she got some to go. The pork chops were delicious along with everything else we ate. I will definitely go back to support Chef Jai.

My wife and I had brunch here and it was absolutely amazing. The salmon croquettes, the grilled salmon, and the eggs were all very delicious! Chef Jai is very friendly, nice, and definitely knows his way around the kitchen. The whole atmosphere, hospitality, and food is tops!! We will be back!

Today was my 1st time coming here. I absolutely loved this little place. Our food was prepared fresh and the wait was well worth it. The chef Jai came out to our table and met us. The place was very clean and prices were very good. We had a brunch and we will be returning to enjoy the other items on the menu.

On a Sunday afternoon my wife said she wanted some good “soul food”… We searched online and a few places came up but we choose Soul Rock Cafe and I am sooooo glad we did. This place is a 10 out of 10 across the board! We were professionally greeted and seated. Our waitress was very kind and explained the menu and other options as well. Everything was made to order and tasted AMAZING!! It’s is a nice and cozy atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly staff and did I mention the food was AMAZING!?!?!?! The Chef/owner came over and checked on us as we ate and we shared a few quick laughs. I challenge any and everyone to try this place. And if and when you do, prepare to be blown away!

I called in an order for catfish to try them out for the first time. I arrived and received my food fresh and hot. I tasted it and decided to eat there. The fish and fries were delicious, and they made me feel like family. I will definitely return.

We visited this restaurant on Christmas Eve and it was a great decision! The staff had great energy and personality. The food was tasty and cook to order. I ordered the catfish fillets with yams and cabbage. Everything was hot and delicious! Definitely recommend.
